Yeah he’s definitely in between the two somewhere but I’d argue he’s closer to Brett
The thing is that Brett in a 6 year period for 89-90 to 94-95 had almost 100 more regular season goals than the next best player and was 3rd in points and he actually has a pretty good playoff resume as well.

He just didn't play on very well constructed teams in his peak years but I think people are forgetting what a good sniper he was.

Yeah I wouldn’t even say for certain Kucherov is a better player really

Recency bias strikes yet again.

It's Brett Hull. Kuch is a great player, but averaging 70 goals for three years with an 86 goal year in between isn't something many have done especially when the entire league knew the puck was going to end up on Hulls stick.

Like, do people actually look at stats? Or do they just throw a dart at a dart board then compare all time great to current great player?

Brett Hull has the greatest goal-scoring season in history, Kucherov nothing of the sort (100 assists is great, but not equal).

People on this forum act like Brett Hull was a beer league player. I don't care how one dimensional he is perceived to be, he scored 741 goals, won 2 Cups, has a Hart and a Lindsay. He is top-5 all time in goals. So, no, I don't think you can say "Kucherov by a wide margin" as of right now.

Why would he say that?
Because the best playoff winger of the 2000s is him.

Not Kucherov.

More rings on his fingers, more game winning goals in the playoffs, and ended series on more then one occasion including a Cup.

Not that Kuch can't over take him, but right now it's Kane.

Kucherov has won two scoring titles over McDavid, who's likely going to retire as the 5th best player of all time. So that's pretty significant IMO.

I agree Hull does get underrated by some on this website.
