Nikita Kucherov on 126 point pace and on his way to another Art Ross

Weird thread basing it on pace if he would have played all 82 games, but even if we are using pace over the ramining games, Kuch still falls short or at best ties MacKinnon.

Math guy here

Lightning - 10 games remaining. Kucherov 1.54 P/GP. 10*1.54 = 15-16 more points. 105+15=120-121 points

Avalanche - 9 games remaining. MacKinnon 1.48 P/GP. 9*1.48 = 13-14 more points. 108+13=121-122 points

What about the final numbers probability based on the last 10 games scoring ?

It’s going to be an interesting final few weeks.

Kucherov has essentially been scoring at the clip he’s currently at all year, but will play four fewer games in the end. With 7 points in his past 2 games, he seems to be heating up entering his final 10 games.

MacKinnon is going through another cold spell, with just 6 points in his past 8 games. I’d assume he’s about to snap out of it with an Art Ross on the line during his remaining 9 games.

They likely both cross 120, but it’s really too close to call.

It would be a shame to see MacKinnon fumble away a trophy down the stretch run again ala 2017-2018, but I would prefer to see Kucherov rack up a third Art Ross. It would tie him with Lafleur and only seven players in history would have more.

With 4 points tonight, he’s right behind MacKinnon and on pace for 126 points over 82 games.

With Tampa looking like a wagon right now, Kucherov is on his way to win his third Art Ross.

That would be a truly insane achievement in the McDavid era
the McDavid era? Does he have a cup?

Kucherov is at the moment the best offensive player in the NHL. He may skate slower but he is the better playmaker and shooter. He is now in his 30ies and no signs of slowing down. With McDavid we are not so sure, is it the beginning of a decline from a high level or will he rebound to 1.7-1.8ppg next year?

He has picked up two points eight minutes into the Isles game for now, only one point behind MacK.
They aren't giving any assists on the 2nd goal as of now. Looks like an isles d man attempt to clear the puck ended up on Perbix stick

Tough break if so and could be argued no posession. Mackinnon also may have been robbed of an assist vs the habs on Necas goal a few games ago - pick went through Nichuskins legs and he got credit, I don't think he actually touched it.

11 points in the last 3 games for Kucherov.

On March 14, MacKinnon had a 10 point lead on him:
