Yeah, only the Knicks make moves that dumb. It's not like the Rangers are owned by the same people or anything...

At this point it's probably best just to wait till after the expansion draft, chances are some team will take a chance on one of the two guys(with 1 year remaining on their contract) without Dallas having to give up something of value.

What are some ideas to somehow get rid of Niemi and/or Lehtonen? I know that the stars would have to give up some talent but just searching for a good way to get rid of the contracts without losing draft picks. Comment away.

new gm has to believe there will be a rebound... then you are looking at a bad contract in return.

perhaps a team like toronto might play ball to move lupal?

toronto could buyout the contract if things go south... but if the goalie rebounds with a fresh start it might workout

maybe calgary takes the same gamble to move wideman?

theres probably someone somewhere that thinks lehtonen and niemi can still be 1a goalies on a middle of the pack team
