what happened to his wrist shot from his spot on the PP? haven't seen him be threatening with it at all so far.. it just looks like he doesn't feel comfortable on the PP

if you look at his production then ya he's doing fine but overall he doesn't look as comfortable as he was last year, i guess that could be a positive sign for his upside
If you recall it only worked with Corey Perry or Sean Monahan setting the perfect screen.
Slaf hasn't mastered that aspect of his game on the PP he barely moves from his stationary position at the side of the net.
With either Caufield or Suzuki playing the line with Hutson he needs to take away the goaltenders eyes far more than he is currently doing.

We've go three guys who can generally get pucks through because of decent decision making along with Laine's one timer.
You are absolutely right we have to show we can score more ways than just constantly feeding Patrik or teams will sit on it.

We should show him video images of David Desharnais screening the goaltender just to send a message.
Wrong guy in the right place used to always get a good laugh on this board.

That quick pass to Cole was a beauty, he delayed it just enough for Cole to be at the right position and gave it at the right place. He's so consistent that we take him for granted.
His vision is excellent.
So quick to make those passing decisions, then to know exactly where the puck has to go - knowing Cole is a righty and puts it where he can one-time it.

Credit to CC because players in space are easier to see, and his timing to space is excellent.

From the games I've watched, his role on the PP has changed alot. He doesn't seem to get as many touches, and the plays seem to operate from the other side of the ice now.

This is Nick with some real belief the same Suzuki who blasted Kucherov and changed the momentum of that game.
We saw this in the playoffs people just forgot that he does have some dog in him.

One point off PPG and a flat +/- is fairly remarkable given some of those blow outs.
I find he should be a little more aggressive and hard on the puck in the Ozone but it's easy to see he often has D on his mind.
He is truly becoming a very responsible player.

Suzuki has always had some quiet swagger. He's a gamer, and you hang on to guys like him that bring it in the playoffs..... now only if we could ever get back there again lol.

Bergevin didn't even want him he wanted Glass.

Glass was considered the better prospect by pretty much everyone..... so did this board.

It’s insane how some still don’t think he’s good enough to be a #1 on a contender.

His production is right up there with some names I’ve heard many people rave about.
He’s now going toe to toe with the best in the biz and coming out on top.

Still a kid and is also the captain. Best is yet to come
I liked how on the Caufield goal Nick found himself net front scuffling with the D even after it went in.

He is a complete center in the mold of Patrice Bergeron who IMO was a #1 center. Nick is a great player.

Its crazy how it really didnt appear he was normal Nick to start the year and here we are, half way thru and PPG and even with Slaf having consistency issues
He’s about mid pack for first line centers point wise which is very good. His goals are down this year though. Partially because he’s been snakebit recently and partially because he (and Caufield) aren’t shooting enough.

Right around this time last year he went on a crazy run where he was among the very best players in the league. I’m hoping we see that from him again. He’s playing well but that was another level.

Not yet 4 Nations is a gimmick and everybody knows it.
Play next season will be a far more determining factor IMO.
Suzuki will be fighting Politics and if he plays all 82 this season I hope he tells them to go shove it for the Worlds again.
Suzuki won't have to tell them to shove it this year, Habs will still be playing Hockey in May!

He'll be a 90-100 pts player with Demidov, easy.

If the habs have a strong 2nd half, he'll get some serious Selke, Mark Messier award consideration

Today is Tuesday January 7th it is 9h08 pm, at this exact point in time, despite all the amazing storylines and hype about the Montreal Canadiens and promising future and whatever may be...

Nick Suzuki is the best player on the Montreal Canadiens.

I don't think that guy gets enough credit, he's not the fastest, he doesn't have the best hands, the best shot. However, he is easily our smartest player and sees the ice better than any of our players.

Put him on the ice 18m a night, it's not always pretty... but he only needs 2 seconds and he will make it happen for us. Plus he's clutch
