If he were a true 1C he'd have 25 points by now. Funny how the list of centers better than him changes every year. I remember like 2 years ago when RNH, Cozens and Lindholm were considered better than Suzuki.
13th in points, awesome defensively, as consistent as a clock but yeah? We need an upgrade because he's the only good player on the team.

Yeah. They’ve been good. And the first line is getting points but their play is way off.
We have 23 guys and a crew of coaches who have all struggled.....................Nick is a PPG player, and is very solid in all aspects of the first 16 games.............can he be better, sure if he could get some help from others, his numbers would be even better.

The team has many issues...................the Captain is not one of them.

I didn’t say he was an issue. I said he wasn’t playing well and that it’s part of a broader problem. Caufield is leading the NHL in goals and isn’t playing well either.

The point production is great. But the play on this club hasn’t been good.

People seems to forget that he never had a second line to help him with his duty. Other team can put all their bests players against Suzuki because his line is the only threat. He still manage to play 82 games a years produce fearly well and make every players on his line better.

He will thrive once we have at least one other offensive line to help him. It will force the opposite teams to divide their strength and let him breathe more.

Suzuki would be a 80-90 points players in two three years if we add a good second and third line. He just looks tired to have all the pressure night after night.

The team has been awful, and you called out our best player.
My point was, you have quite a few more suspects to call out.
I would call out many others, before I would go near the Captain.......just me. And yes, I admitted he can be better already, but the coaches, the goaltending the defense and most of the forward group are all up first for some criticism first.....

I"m not calling him out. Actually READ what I've written.

I've been saying all along that players shouldn't be called out when the whole team is playing badly. Suzuki isn't playing well either but it's the result of the club being discombobulated.

The top line had a good afternoon on Monday. Point production and adv stats. Let’s see if that will carry over.

I expect Suzuki to get another boost next season with:
- Demidov added (Slaf - NS - Demi)
- a better 2nd line
- Hutson joining PP1

He is playing bad. The whole team is.

It’s great that he’s got those points just like it’s great the CC has his goals but nobody on this team other than Hutson is playing well.
You say you are not calling him out.........................what is this? He is playing bad??? You say he is not an issue, but yet you said otherwise..........once again your words, not mine........he is playing bad.

My point was, and you are not reading my point, you can insert 20 other names before you can say the captains name in your post.................we both can agree the team is not playing well, yup......but you ARE calling out Suzuki and you shouldn't be.........he is producing.....

Right now, he reminds me of Price, a star on a terrible team....
