Pre-season is literally nothing. Come on guys. I'd be more worried if he was going all out for pre-season. Pre-season exists solely to let the guys remember how to skate and handle a puck against a different team.

He'll be just fine.

Suzuki has always been a coaster during pre-season, even when we first got him and he didn't make the team. I don't get why every one gets worked up like that. Every year we see NHLers clearly not caring and trying as much as AHLers and prospects. Tempête dans un verre d'eau...

What are we expecting this year from him?

Hoping for 50 points at the minimum (20g, 30a)...could see him getting close to the 60 point mark if all goes well.

My expectation is higher. 60 points as a minimum and closer to 70 points if Caufield scored a lot.

That would be a regression on last year, so hoping for better than that

He was on pace for 60 points this year but he's playing with a worse team on defense and in nets...I feel like most of this forward group will be spending time in our own zone this year.

60+ points would be good.
That’s solid over 82.

the offence unlikely to be highly potent.

I know it's only Pre season. But Suzuki is a pro, he should played Pre season games the same way he is playing a regular NHL game. So far I only has concern, and I am not saying he will not performing well this season. The regular season will start soon and we will see how he play.

exactly he is a pro and realizes it’s not worth getting hurt in a pre season game. There is zero motivation for a guaranteed 1st line player to go hard in the pre season

as for projections I think he hits 26 goals 67 points

This! Thank you!
