I'll preface this by saying Marner is the better player but it's funny that both him and Suzuki were notoriously clutch in Jr (Marner on that London team was spectacular in the playoffs, Suzuki carried Guelph to a championship), but Marner hasn't been able to translate that to the NHL whereas Suzuki has.

Not sure the reasoning for it, but if Marner could find that magic again the Leafs would probably win a cup.

Duh, I wish we had McDavid or MacKinnon to center our first line...

As it stands, at least half of the teams in the league would rather have Suzuki as their 1C than what they got right now. And he's only getting better.

But keep underrating/underestimating him. You'll be the ones looking like fools down the road.

This is an interesting stat. He's #2 in the league for clutch goals using this model.

To be fair Marner did the 1st and Suzuki was pretty inconsequential in the 2nd.

He has been insanely clutch down the stretch and he did lead a SCF team in scoring though, whereas Marner seems to panic a bit in the playoffs (unforced delay of game penalties and whatnot)
