Nick Suzuki is on fire. Has steadily improved every year of his career but has exploded this year. Has a chance at 90 points. Excellent defensively on top of the production. On a steal of a contract as well.
He went parabolic at the end of last year too. Tonight was such a clutch performance. He didn't have the best game but those two goals were insanely clutch. Dude is on fire.Second half of this season is the best Suzuki has ever played. Having a talent like Hutson has been a big help. With Suzuki the talent has always been there, but now he's able to put it all together. Really happy to see him continue to improve. Hell of a player and competitor.
Clutch for sure. Suzuki is quickly becoming one of the more clutch players in the NHL. Seems to score a whole lot of key goals. He went parabolic at the end of last year too. I believe he’s the 7th highest scoring center this season. If he ever plays with Demidov, watch out.A true #1C maybe not a top 10 but he's in the same category as player like Sebastian Aho or Nico Hischier
I'm a fan of Slafkovskys and his potential, but Demidov will 'level up' Suzuki and Caufield if he joins that line. Currently too many plays die on Slafkovsky's stick. I could see Suzuki hit 100 and Caufield score 50 if Demidov hits the ground running.I believe he’s the 7th highest scoring center this season. If he ever plays with Demidov, watch out.
I'll preface this by saying Marner is the better player but it's funny that both him and Suzuki were notoriously clutch in Jr (Marner on that London team was spectacular in the playoffs, Suzuki carried Guelph to a championship), but Marner hasn't been able to translate that to the NHL whereas Suzuki has.Clutch for sure. The locker room has probably a lot to play with it.I'll preface this by saying Marner is the better player but it's funny that both him and Suzuki were notoriously clutch in Jr (Marner on that London team was spectacular in the playoffs, Suzuki carried Guelph to a championship), but Marner hasn't been able to translate that to the NHL whereas Suzuki has.
Not sure the reasoning for it, but if Marner could find that magic again the Leafs would probably win a cup.
Also Caufield and Guhle are good picksBergevin was overall a stone cold moron, but goddamn he pulled off some amazing trades.
You might be right. Marner was undeniably brilliant playing on the same team as Crosby and MacKinnon in the 4 Nations Tournament. The locker room has probably a lot to play with it.
Marner was not surrounded by great leaders. Nick was surrounded by Shea Weber and Carey Price. Hard to beat.
We have a weird rep of drafting bad but we’ve actually been pretty good since about 2019 ex kk and even then we still have gotten good players every roundAlso Caufield and Guhle are good picks
+5 dexterityI don’t realize the NHL was some RPG where players level up. Did he unlock a cool new spell or ability?
It helped motivating him when surrounded by those guysYou might be right. Marner was undeniably brilliant playing on the same team as Crosby and MacKinnon in the 4 Nations Tournament.

2018 was a killer. We have a weird rep of drafting bad but we’ve actually been pretty good since about 2019 ex kk and even then we still have gotten good players every round
Not get bitchy about a comparison of unquantifiable intangibles that includes saying the Leafs player is better, challenge impossibletalk about your own players without making it about the leafs, challenge impossible
