Would take some time before I realise it's not a fever dream lolHe'll get it.

He was better than Cole all year long. This isn’t even debatable.
Yep. 46 goals/80 point pace in the first half. Dropped off a bit after that. Last half dozen his been MIA. Good game tonight though.Caufield was the best habs player in the first half of the season. He was pacing for about 50 goals during that time. Suzuki has been better since.

The only one saying it was you. Haha. Still bitter about those poll results. You’ll get over it eventually.I didn't see you chiming in before when it was being said around here.... but you do you.
I said with a strong second line he could get 90, he doesn’t have that and it flirting with 90 anyway. My guess at the start of the year was he'd be around 82 points, with 90 coming next year. If he hits 90 or close to it, I could easily see a 100+ point peak season.
Caufield’s been great, but like you said outside of that 11 game sample where he went GPG his goal scoring returned back to normal. He’s trailed Suzuki in points all season long. Plus Suzuki does so many more things away from the puck that Cole doesn’t. This isn’t even close and I love Cole. Suzuki is just better at everything except scoring goals. Not for the stat watchers...
But yes, his overall game has been the best since day one of the season.
And really, Caufield wasn't really playing much better in the first half, he just had a crazy September scoring 10 in the first 11 games. Finishing matters, of course, but he's been playing great hockey this spring as well.
They've both had career years, and the great thing is that the best is yet to come

wrong. The only one saying it was you.
I think what is evident for me from the articles I've read on the subject and the interviews that have been given . Suzuki is in constant contact with Marty and Hughes behind the scenes. That they did what they did is enough to raise a few eyebrows and it speaks volumes about the respect they have for the "Captain".I honestly believe that this alleged sit down is being romanticized and blown out of proportion, like it was some grand entrance into the GM's office with an ultimatum from Suzuki.
Gimme a break.
It probably went down, "Kent, the guys would like a chance to stick around and do their best to make the playoffs together. They think they can get something done..."
"Fine, you guys win games before the deadline and I won't trade the veterans."
"Thanks, I'll let the guys know..."
I bet Nick just put his shlong on Kent Hughes desk and it was enough , no words we're needed to be exchangedI honestly believe that this alleged sit down is being romanticized and blown out of proportion, like it was some grand entrance into the GM's office with an ultimatum from Suzuki.

I agree that first half Cole was better but the Gap between the two now is much larger than it ever was this season. Suzuki is playing like a top 10 player right nowNot for the stat watchers...

Gifted us a damn fine core though. But horrible with contracts, player relations, infrastructure, etc
You and one other and both of you are completely off your rocker.wrong.
And.a few people have said so right here in the past few pages.
I disagree it deserves the attention because of how bad it was then and how even worse it is now. The guy who wrote that article and build that model is an hardcore leafs fan and I remember how he deflected the blame on his model as if he was not the person that build that model in the first place.NOTICE ; 2 years ago, Suzuki's new contract has been named the worst NHL contract by a "PRO" site. I won't name it because i think we shouldn't talk about them anymore. END
Thanks for coming out.You and one other and both of you are completely off your rocker.
