Player Discussion Nick Suzuki Game Winning Goals Edition

We talk alot about Demidov potentially being our first 100pt player since god knows how long.

If Suzuki can keep the same pace as his last 20 games (1.21 PT/G) he would hit 89pts this year.

Is it fair to say if the team gets a passable 2C, a full season of Hutson and Laine on PP1 and Demidov... we could be looking at Nick hitting 100 points first?

Who is the most underrated player in the NHL.....at 0.20

London boys supporting London boys. He's not wrong though, Suzuki's game is all about quality. He does everything extremely well. I think the only reason he's overlooked is because he plays a "slow" game. He does pretty much everything else at an elite level.

Suzuki puts winning before stat padding. Not saying he's on Datsyuks level but it's the same approach. PD could've scored way more but put the team first. Suzuki is very similar. 100pts isn't out of the question on his career

With Hutson in the lineup, Dvorak might get to 100 points.

Nick has a good shot at 90 this year. It’s the second year in a row he’s gone postal in the last 20 games. Next year he’ll have to get off to a better start to get there. Not easy but it’s achievable. Similar to Caufield getting 50 goals. Hard but not impossible.

Nick won't get his due until we start making the playoffs or he plays in an international tournament. A lot of these guys with these opinions watch highlights or statwatch and that's it.

People who watch him play know how good he is. Craig Button, like him or not, watches a lot of Habs and gushes about him all the time.

That's the weird part though, he's not MacKinnon but the dude produces some nice highlights on top of the production so no excuses

Do we really have to constantly inject other players names into this discussion to explain Suzuki's production?
Breaking news Suzuki is the only elite center in the league benefitting from having some talent on his wings.
He's also the only elite center who can rely on an Offensive minded Dman.

Nick Suzuki is a stand alone solution who has played and continues to play very good hockey with everyone period end of story.
He was always going to be a PPG player and it was evident even from his rookie season.
I called it myself in his second year we only have to surround him properly.
We are still a 2C away from doing that.
