Nick Suzuki Game Winning Goals Edition

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Exciting to see what he can do down the stretch. So far so good. Proper captain. Ice in his veins. You know he’ll do his damnedest to will us to the playoffs.
Played well enough to be 1st star 3 times at home, giving him a platform to speak directly to the Bell centre crowd about how they were gunning for the playoffs. Could have played a part in keeping the team intact, getting his teammate re-signed.

A stats that you won't believe it. Nonetheless, it's a legit stats.

Suzuki is the only Montreal Canadiens captain to get 60 points or more during 3 seasons in a row. 61 points. In 2022. 66 points. In 2023. 77 points in 2024. 65 points (currently) in 2025.
That's actually kind of pathetic for us. I can't believe that's a real stat.

How the heck did Jean Beliveau not do this? Even Maurice Richard (who played in a low game era) has done that for sure. Maybe these guys weren't captain when they did it?

It’s kinda hilarious to look at this list. There’s a bunch of shortened PPG and 59-point seasons among the skilled captains lol

I just stopped by to tell you all once again, like I have been saying for a few years at this point, that Nick Suzuki is a bonafide first line NHL centre.

It is not a surprise that as our teams talent level has risen, his point totals have followed. We are lucky to have stolen him in that trade and lucky that they rejected who we had actually asked for at the time.

Suzuki has already risen to Price-levels of expectations (for better or worse) because he's so consistent so we kind of take him for granted. Once the 2C situation is sorted (I trust KH will have a proper one by next season) we are going to be spoiled with a supported Suzuki. We can already see the impact of Evans freeing Suzuki up for more offensive opportunities but with a 2C too the team is going to benefit greatly.
