He's a top prospect for us so I figured this deserved it's own thread.

Yeesh. Not sure if that's knee or ankle. Apparently could not put any weight on it when being helped off.

Ugh Perfect… this kid just can’t stop being derailed in his development. Not that Covid was unique to him, but a couple injuries, our baffling choice to not let him go to the world juniors. He should have been pushing for the NHL this season ideally, but he’s just not there yet. I’m still a fan though and I believe he’ll get there. Just tough breaks

As bad as it is, Robertson seems like he thrives off adversity. Hopefully he comes back with a bigger chip on his shoulder.

tough luck but he has to get stronger or he'll never make it , you can't get knocked on your ass every time there's contact , hope it's nothing serious

I place a lot of the blame on some fans here.

You can only put so much air in a container before it blows ... way to much pumping of his tires.

He's still a kid, needs time. Wonder if he should have gone back for overage year?
Gone back for an overager year after scoring 55 in 46? You can’t be serious.

The WJC decision in hindsight is even dumber now. Didn’t send him thinking he’d make the Leafs, gets injured due to no fault of his own so he doesn’t, but now a year later he’s not good enough for the big club?

I'm not as high on him as most, but just to clarify; are you blaming the injury on the fans? Or are you blaming fans for hyping him up too much? Because the Leafs fanbase generally hype up any new acquisition/draft pick/FA/PTO. Every year's new bargain bin signings are very astute (until we see them).

I don't see how this has anything to do with his hype. For the most part, he has lived up to the hype with his play and work ethic. He just needs to stay healthy.

That may eliminate any chances of a callup for him for the regular season. 10 weeks takes him nearly into the new year. At least there's no surgery.

I guess the positive is that is not a muscle or anything, and that he doesn't need surgery.

I am reminded of the dirty Dotchin hit on F Gauthier just when it seemed he was turning a corner in his development. Hope Robertson comes back strong, but a very leafy-start to the season with Amirov wrist, Mikheyev wrist, Robertson leg, Mrazek groin.
