Cause all I heard was him saying was basically if Crosby and Marchand decided they wanted it, it would happen. Which is 100% true. Neither player is getting traded unless they want, and if they decided to look to get traded, they would be able to pick their team based on who they are and their place with their franchise.

He did not say it was happening, he did not say he thinks it will happen, just speculating that both players could, in theory, will it into existence?

Lol at some of the responses on this thread.

First of all, yes. Kyper is actually legit. He hasn't got much stuff wrong in the last few years, and some of the things he has had way earlier than most. Like the fact that Colorado could be trading Rantanen.

Second of all, he's not saying that Marchand and Crosby are going to Colorado. He's just saying that Colorado has called Boston and Pittsburgh, and made it clear to both teams and players that they will make it happen if they want to.

Oh how quickly some forget the talents of Kyle Dubas to make big moves for their own sake.

The maxim holds true: If you can trade Wayne Gretzky, you can trade anyone.

Seems like a hell of a scenario, but:

Marchand is in his last year and when and if he re-signs, Bergeron aint going to be there. He knows the Boston that he helped define, is never coming back in the time he has left.

Dubas has cratered Pittsburgh. If Crosby's perspective has held since the Guentzel trade, he's got a long memory. I could easily see Crosby having chatted with Mackinnon in the summer along with Marchand about contingencies. It takes a jab from a buddy, the other one to say: Shaaadup! and a "ya never know" look for the idea to take serious root.

They're all Cup champions. There's nothing more to gain except retire on teams that no longer bear resemblance to those they once knew and loved and they just won a world championship together.

Even if Kypreos is inferring this from nothing but his own speculation, it's not exactly a stretch to believe its possible.

IF Sid really wanted to play for the Avalanche he wouldn't have re-signed. If he was dying for a fourth cup he would've asked for a trade there then signed for less than 8.7 (yea hes superstitious but still) giving the team more space to improve the roster.

That said... honestly it feels like Kyper does get the inside scoop now and again. I've learned to not completely dismiss him. I'm saying that before listening to the context though.

In assorted articles over the past few weeks he's tossed out probably close to a hundred different players/trades...with that kind of volume you're into blind squirrel finding a nut territory...'some' will be right. People will look at and remember those while forgetting about the other 97% that apparently were pulled out of his ass.
