Kyper has had more stuff right % wise than Friedman in the last few years. Because Kyper usually doesn't say much. He's not an insider anymore, just an analyst who has connections.

Colorado is already in LTIR, there's no way they are getting 75% retention on both Marchand and Crosby, especially the latter with his term, to even hope to make the cap work.

Let's be honest, if Crosby really marched into Dubas's office and said he wanted out, they would make it happen. Crosby himself would obviously want the Pens to do well enough in the trade as well, but in the end the Pens would not be in the position to demand the moon for him.

Refrence the Patrick Kane trade. Yes, obviously it's WAY different. Kane was hurt, Kane was a UFA, Kane is not Crosby. But in the end, all Chicago got for him was a 2nd, a 4th and two players who haven't even played in the NHL after the trade (and probably won't, one of them is in Europe already). Like I said, Crosby would obviously get more, but if you are thinking it would be like a combination of multiple firsts, top prospects and roster players, not going to happen. That said, I don't think Crosby wants to leave Pittsburgh so moot point anyway.

Cause all I heard was him saying was basically if Crosby and Marchand decided they wanted it, it would happen. Which is 100% true. Neither player is getting traded unless they want, and if they decided to look to get traded, they would be able to pick their team based on who they are and their place with their franchise.

He did not say it was happening, he did not say he thinks it will happen, just speculating that both players could, in theory, will it into existence?

First of all, yes. Kyper is actually legit. He hasn't got much stuff wrong in the last few years, and some of the things he has had way earlier than most. Like the fact that Colorado could be trading Rantanen.

Second of all, he's not saying that Marchand and Crosby are going to Colorado. He's just saying that Colorado has called Boston and Pittsburgh, and made it clear to both teams and players that they will make it happen if they want to.
