He reportedly wanted more than Nill was offering and wasn't willing to except a one year deal to prove he was worth more. As easy as it is to call him a "baby" or call him out for not earning a paycheck, he's an athlete who's going home for what's likely millions more than he would have gotten in Dallas it's hard to say he's a horrible person in that regard.

Under the circumstances this is very unlikely. Not about there being an out clause (I have no idea on that yet) but that the Stars are going to give him any more than they've already offered just because he's running to the KHL

Yup Lindy Ruff has 2 years left on his deal with Dallas, Pretty sure that's why Nuke did it. It sounds like he wants to stay with Dallas just not play for Lindy Ruff.

Doubt it, Pretty sure he's stuck there for those 2 years. Don't see him coming back Dallas still owns his NHL rights and CSKA Moscow owns his rights in the KHL.

NHL ready and NHL worthy are two totally different things. Nichushkin stunk it up last season. Stars are still a contender without him.
