That development camp never felt like it was the typical rookie camp where you invite your draft picks and some free agents and get a look at the guys.

It felt like a camp that a huge amount of junior A and B teams do. Pay to play. Its basically a fundraiser.

Haven’t been a STH for a few years now. But, went to OLP last night. Great show!

I didn't go but I was watching ticket sales. That show last night was just about as packed as the MC ever gets. Good on OLP. I am really surprised how big a draw they are.

The cancelled camps were Spring Youth Developmental Camp that was to run throughout both April and May for players aged 10-15 years old (375.00 +HST), but yes you're right it was basically a fundraiser.

seriously, how did i miss that? no ohl team charges kids for rookie camps, well, one does i guess.

I just got some clarification that the camp they were charging $375 for was a youth camp. 10-15 year olds. Still seems like an idea to get families of 15 year olds to pony up for a chance to be seen.

OLP was great last night. The light show was fantastic and the music was a blast from the past. OLP used to sell out NHL arenas so not surprised they sold out

No... It's like he has connections and wants to keep the fans informed as to what's actually going on because the ownership certainly doesn't. @Sam14 is usually first with trade rumours and other assorted good news.

More than once I've seen a hint from him about something then called upon my own sources to confirm it. So far my independent colleagues will only say that the OHL is involved but won't confirm why.

It’s great that he says stuff and wants to keep the fans informed but I just don’t think saying something is happening or going to happen without saying what it is really keeping fans informed when they could’ve come to those conclusions themselves given who’s running the team

Whether you like the way Sam presents their point of view or not is irrelevant. However, if what you are saying is that nothing negative is happening with the dogs, I think it's going to be very lonely place for you under that rock.

For what it's worth the Icedogs have cancelled their Spring Development Camp.

I'm sure this has nothing to do with the gong show going on behind the scenes. Root for loses and hope for a change. Thankfully I think DDD's demise is near!

I’ll be rooting for his demise which probably isn’t as near as we hope it is I don’t think loses will make it come any sooner but maybe I’m wrong

Listen, I apologize if I come off a little strong sometimes. I love the Dogs (players and coaches) and I just get so frustrated by an ownership group that wants to play owner instead of caring about the franchise. I have supported the team since day one and can't see this ending well.

We’re in the same boat here that’s why I get frustrated at the something is happening stuff without actually saying what it is cause I just don’t think that’s very informative to the people on here that want to know what’s going on and aren’t as connected as others like Sam is

I prefer to know something's up. The year DDD was suspended I would have loved to know "something" before I renewed. He says what he can when he can. Think of it as smoke versus fire. If you prefer to wait until there's fire that's fine. I am a big fan of smoke, especially from a distance.

I hear what you’re saying but I also agree with dogs777 that posting something like “big weekend win but here we go again Monday with more negative” and providing zero context is also kind of frustrating. It makes it hard to 1) enjoy the good but also 2) truly understand the bad. It’s like a doctor telling me I’m sick but not telling me what I am sick with. Do I have a cold or cancer? There is a lot of possibilities there.

Theme of that game has to be defensive puck possession. First 2 goals just get the puck out of your zone. He had a few terrible giveaways and more just terrible passing & clearing attempts.

Sudbury nips the Icedogs 3 to 2 Musty game winning power play goal nine and half minutes into the third period. Jeffery takes the loss . Roobroeck and He scored for the Dogs. Next game tomorrow night at North Bay.

I’d add really stupid penalties (Doherty playing without a helmet and He’s trip while on a 5 on 4 leading to the GWG) Wassilyn breaks the teams rookie record for assists
