Regarding the jersey auction for todays IceDogs jerseys... can any of you tell me what the proceeds go towards?

Any word on Flores? I heard it was a knee injury at the arena last night.

added.,,, recently published Standard article

The status of Flores, the Ontario Hockey League leader in shots faced, is unclear at press time. IceDogs head coach Ben Boudreau said the team’s No. 1 backstop was “to be assessed.”
“It just kind of happened, but there is nothing that’s a major, major concern,” Boudreau said. “We’ll just see the extent of his injury.
“I’m not 100 per cent sure yet, right? I just know he’s not playing tomorrow.”

Reactions: three dog night
The IceDogs have scored only goal in a shootout this season.

“We’re looking for anybody and everybody. We started doing shootout practises and keeping the winners. And obviously, Blair Scott won the first one and Galiyanov won the second one and Loshko won the third one,” Boudreau said. “Trying to switch things up and just keep trying to find solutions here on how to win.”
Not having Roobroeck or He do the shootouts is pretty confusing to say the least. People should be fighting for that third spot which probably would go to Loshko I would have to assume in a perfect world

No joy today has the Dogs lost to Brampton 6;to 0 and out shot 50 to 22 2,489 fans in Brampton. Now some rest before a visit to Ottawa Friday night hopefully some bodies back.

Jan 25, 2025 Brampton is 10 points back of Niagara with 3 games in hand.

... before going h2h Feb 17. At that point, we’ll have our answer.
Brampton 3 points back of Niagara with 1 game in hand. Do we have an answer yet?

“Flores is gonna be on the shelf for a little bit,” Boudreau said. “I don’t think there’s a timeline. It’s nothing that we’re stressing about if we do make the playoffs, whether we will have him or not. We don’t foresee Flores playing in February or in early March. I believe (we’re) just making sure that we have a healthy Owen Flores come playoff time.”

Yes, I believe we do have our answer. We will have to finish strong to avoid a 7th seeding in the playoffs. Not that it matters...Barrie, Brantford and Oshawa will likely sweep the dogs in a playoff series. At least we made the playoffs...that is a start!

Yes, it is a start! My concern is that with all the noise around this team, it will not surprise me to see turnover that will surprise IceDog fans next year. Be prepared.

I think with a healthy Flores and getting Paris and AA back they could’ve stayed 5-6 now I think they’re destined for 7th
Current injuries are a factor, however, all the teams above and below them in the standing have had (or still have) their share of injuries to deal with during the 24-25 season. Where ever they finish this season, will probably be an accurate indication of team's talent comparitive to the rest of the East.

I rarely agree with Sam14 but this time he’s got it right. A lack of leadership on and off the ice which has crept into the entire organization has lead to departures and probable requests to leave at season’s end. Not a healthy environment.

I have been speaking about the departure of He and Roobroeck next year and I believe that if you want a successful franchise in the future, this has to happen. We have to restock through the Priority Selection because this owner is too cheap to bring in US and foreign players.

Players routinely miss team curfews and other more concerning things. This team has no leadership and this starts at the owner.

Where Roobroeck going his draft year is next season He likely will return

I didn't say it would happen but I think it would be smart to trade them while their value is the highest so that the team is successful in future years. Right now, the team is so far away from being competitive for a championship that it is getting scary!

I doubt they'll have a choice. Why would they even contemplate staying at this point?

If the buffoon owner has half a brain, he'll sell the team this summer before shit really hits the fan.
