Please read again and explain where I suggested you are in over your head rather than the lack of interest in discussing roster.

The original post you commented on was an OHL factual post of roster construction post trade deadline
 
In the simplest of hockey terms there are gamers and there are pretenders. I think we all know where Karen… er Sam falls. Would you want him as a teammate!

Hell no. He would destroy morale with all his negativity.

If this current team has proven anything its that they rarely give up. They have fantastic confidence in their abilities. The number of times that they have come back to win a game is amazing. A complete reversal of the last two seasons where they get down a little and totally collapse.

I am looking forward to a big win today.

If people are worried about missing the Bills game, they announced on Thursday there will be tv's on the concourse showing the Bills game today.

I couldn't disagree with you more. I know many IceDogs fans, that were previously season ticket holders, that are so passionate about the team and players that they refuse to support the new owner in hopes that he will sell in order to bring in someone who knows how to run a team.

I have been a season ticket holder from day 1. My parents were season ticket holders for the Blackhawks and Fincups and we were family friends with Rudy Pilus. I support local junior hockey with my money and that gives me the right to an opinion on how the current team is run.

I am routing and cheering my ass off at the games for the Dogs and love the team! That doesn't mean I have to cheer for the cheap owner who has proven he doesn't know much about roster construction.

I totally understand your position and respect it. It’s not mutually exclusive to dislike the owner and some of his decisions and still be an IceDog fan. You are at least’ cheering your ass off’ which is the sign of a true fan. That’s a much more positive and constructive attitude than some pretenders on this thread. Go Dogs!

Really? We have a great roster. It was done by a couple excellent drafts, getting the players to report, some good trades that gave us depth and being on the stick when it was time to get Loshko.

Before this season I would have agreed with this point. Here we are in first place in the Conference and next year is looking even better. So maybe its time to admit he made some good decisions.

Please buy some tickets, an over priced beer and a too salty popcorn.

Watching the Bills today. So no need to wait to answer the question

He, Roobroeck, Czata and Wassilyn have proven they will be as elite as any four OHL players and if they can figure out a way to add two more high-end F they could have one of the best top six F in the OHL next year.

Everyone has an opinion on this but as far as I’m concerned Flores is as good a goalie as anyone else in the OHL. Also, Ben Boudreau is proving himself to be one of this leagues best coaches and I’m not at all surprised by that.

FYI. Very few fans cheer for the IceDogs as hard as myself and the people I attend games with. FACT!!!

All these Points have posted and reposted by several members on here numerous times before but here they are again

Draft? When you pick in the top 5, you don’t get a pat on the back for selecting excellent players. It’s expected that you do. DD had nothing to do with that.

Report? That was John Walters not DD

Trades? Overpaid on all those trades (except the Doherty trade).

Loshko? If DD doesn’t drive the bus into last place, IceDogs don’t get him.

DD has proven nothing in three years. Except that he is cheap and runs a low budget team.

Sell the team so the lost 1500 STH (myself included) can return to supporting junior hockey

You can have high picks but the key thing is getting them to report.

Trades? Overpaid on all those trades (except the Doherty trade).

And yet ... we have amazing depth up front. Largely because of the trades. We also traded for NVV who has been great on the back end.

Some of those 1500 left because of the offensive Burke scandals.

So if anyone sits at home and watches every game and cheers at the great plays and yells at the bad calls... Then they are not fans? So if someone has a whole closet full of swag and usually wears team gear half the week, follows the scores and knows every player's name and strengths - they aren't fans either? Does this only apply to the IceDogs or to other team sports as well?

So the family who takes in one game in the whole season, doesn't watch the action, keeps wondering what inning it is and let's their kids kick the back of your chair... Are they bigger fans than me?

Sam Dickinson is not a good example to support DD drafting or recruitment ability.

This has been mentioned several times before on this site. DD selected Dickinson in a prearranged deal to draft him and trade him to London. DD was told exactly the player he had to select in the 1st round, if he wanted his first pick to report.
This was a situation where Hunter got DD to do what he wanted.

Any OHL GM with a surplus of draft picks and more importantly willing to overpay can add players to improve their team depth. Nothing to brag about there.

Attendance figures doesn’t support that claim and paints a different issue to the attendance (STHs) problems DD is experiencing over the last two years

Peterborough 5/Niagara 2 Melle two goals for the Petes Loshko both Icedogs goal. Little over3,300:watch the game. Next game Saturday night at home against North Bay hopefully the flu bug will pass on
