Just a question for all you IceDogs fans. Reading the posts from the last two days some of you seem to feel all is good in IceDogs land and the owner is going a good job. You realize the IceDogs franchise is in trouble, right? Under the Burkes, the team averaged around 4800-5000 a game. Now they are at about 3200 a game. The new owner came in and cut costs drastically. The in-game experienced declined and the last two seasons had the worst records in franchise history. People got fed up and stopped coming to the games.

The team is winning this season but fans are not coming back. The last 4 games has had 3 nights where attendance was under 3000. The IceDogs franchise is not in a good spot right now and I think attendance could even decline further next season.
I bet when someone give you a glass of coke you complain it isn't in a bottle LOL

OK Consider this the present owner got hit huge buy the OHL and walked into ateam in coplete disarray. Previous owners canned then 2 players kicked out for language on whats app.

I think there was also a loss of 1st round pick.

This guy has done what a lot of teams are afraid to do he built a franchise that should be et to win for a long time. He finally found a coach that knows what he is doing
Got players with the right mindset.
Beleive me there are a lot of GM and Scouts that are hoping he falls flat on his face because he did it his way and not buiding through trading players or getting super Euro.

Yes the last 2 years were interesting and tough BUT if you look at the team as it is you can see a team that has only 4 players drafted outside the first 4 rounds. That is not normal.

It is a team that has fire power It is a team that has a goal and that is to build so that they can be competitive year in and also have an on ice product that will at least get them a favourable look when the M Cup comes back to Ontario.

3000 may seem small but to a lot of teams it is a good number.

Getting rid of things and adding things is as always the prerequisite of the new owner.

As I have said instead of badmouthing and the doom and gloom look at your team and where it is heded witht he current coach, system and players.

As t increasing fans the old build it and they will come applies

You're right, but there are still those who either can't or won't see it. You could hand them a glass of Coke that had gone flat and had ants swirling on the bottom, yet they'd tell you it was still Coke - just drink it.

Without new ownership to cleanup the mess, the Meridian Centre will continue to look like last night. Empty.

Admittedly, even I was a bit taken aback by the lack of fans actually in attendance Friday night. It was probably “full” to quarter capacity 1300 fans. Those in attendance Thursday indicated there was even fewer in attendance that evening.

Unless the DOB is wrong you lose both of them next year. They are OA this year. This is why you need to get Robertson into some games and see whaether he is ready for prime time.

Yes you lose Loshko BUT you have rookies that are growing and will be ready to step in. He will be back as an OA
Roobreck and Arrowsmith will be back form NHL camps. This team should be just as copetitive next year as it is this year if not more.
Roobroeck isn’t draft eligible till next season He will be 19 so will likely be back all though he could get some NHL games BUT I’d be surprised if he’s back as an OA

Easily the worst game of the season from everyone on the ice
Yep. It was pathetic. They didn't show up. Looked tired and not interested enough to mount a comeback when they got down a few goals.

Wrong. More people on Thursday for sure. I would say it was over 2000 on Thursday and under 2000 on Friday.

Looking at the ticket sales for the 3 December games. They will do much better than the last two games. Might be close to 4000 for one of them. Looks to be some big groups sales.

Roobroeck has the late birthday. He doesn’t get drafted after this season in 2025. He gets drafted in 2026.

How about Ryan Roobroeck! 19 goals so far in 25 games. He doesn’t get drafted until NEXT YEAR. Could score 50 this year and next.

That was not 2000 actual fans in the stands. That would look almost 40% full. Last night looked like 25% max.
It’s a long way from the days when I was happy to have an empty seat beside me, now I have almost the entire row.

On Thursday, yes it was. There were some groups in the corners. Plus the Club and Box seats. Which weirdly seems better used this season. It was not very much over 2000.

I agree with this. It used to be a bonus when nobody was beside us and we had a place to put our jackets.
