Bruce Boudreau advised DDD not to trade Bronson Ride. We see what happened so whether he has advisors, scouts, etc he's going to do what he wants. He has to deal with the consequences of being wrong 90% of the time. The concept of the blind squirrel occasionally finding a nut amounts for the other 10%.

Though many did, Sam14 included; I did not like the Ride trade to NB (for Niagara). I do like every one of the trades for ‘06s Wray, Cheynowski, Virgilio, Brauti, and Doherty.

Yep!! I repeat what was told to me, “You don’t know the half of it”.

Yet you pretend to know all of it.

The goal was playoffs and a more competitive team next season and the season after that, right? Niagara is better than expected as I see it.
About 85% of prognosticators had the IceDogs out of the playoffs with more than a few inexplicably below the Petes. Should Niagara finish 7th, it has got to be considered a successful season.
That is not true, after the IceDogs overpaid for players, almost everyone in Niagara (the only ones that matter or truly know) figured the IceDogs would easily make the playoffs in 7th. So with Sudbury likely selling (Musty inj) IceDogs will finish 6th. Big deal. Three years later the damage done to this franchise on and off the ice that is a ridiculous accomplishment to boast about. With no draft currency available to them, It will be the same next year when they have trade Kevin He at the deadline

I don’t know “all”, but you would actually be surprised just how much I do know. Fact.

Guelph, Flint and Peterborough this coming weekend and 2 of the games are at home games.

I am guessing 6 points.
Despite a 4-6 record in their last 10 games, the schedule is in the IceDogs favour this weekend.

A minimum of 5 points against the Storm, Firebirds, and Petes is a reasonable expectation.

I’m going with 3 maybe 4 hope I’m wrong and definitely could/should be but this team hasn’t looked great against the west for the most part this year and that includes Guelph

Interesting weekend for the Ice Dogs, they'll need fast starts on all three games, especially against Guelph tonight.
The exact opposite. A slow first period, then a flurry of goals in the second. Kept feeling like it could change direction any moment. Glad the Dogs won, but why'd it have to be so close of a game?

How many of them looked particularly dangerous? Or are you just going by the numbers?
If we are going by how many shots looked dangerous then a lot of the shots against EVERY GAME need to be questioned and people need to stop using yea but they were out shot after wins

The issue was if the first period was "boring" or not. I said it was and @Fastpace said it wasn't due to the shots on net. Although relatively high in number, my opinion was that few of them were any contest. Both teams came alive in the second.

Definitely a slow (and boring) start to the game. In second period down a goal and game trending in the wrong direction, until Max Crete ignited the IceDogs with quite a tilt. That seemed to wake up the IceDogs as they responded with four quick goals. Outplayed in the third and Guaranteed the “save of the week” by Flores preserved the IceDogs’ 2 points. They’ll need to play better tonight. Go Dogs.

I think all 3 things can be true at the same time they the first period was a bit meh despite the shot totals but both goalies made some decent saves to keep it scoreless along with some shots that were nothing shots which Flores faces about 5-10 a game which leads to the high shot totals against

Hang on, Robertson is back? I completely missed that.
Yes he backed up last night
