Fans staying away also strengthens the argument for the team moving where as I can’t imagine a team that performs well attendance wise ever having a strong argument for relocation.
The team can’t move until the first term of their lease ends in 2034. After that the team has the option to extend the lease for up to another 20 years in 5 year increments.

Roobroeck with the hat trick including the game winner with forty eight seconds to play gave the Icedogs a 4 to 3 win before 3,548 fans at the Meridian Centre. He scored the other goal for the Icedogs. Next game tomorrow night at Brantford
Who scored the other goal for the ice dogs?

Was at the game last night. My first game of the season. I thought they played very well. It's much better than last season. My only question is, has the reffing been this bad all season? Last night it felt like Sarnia was getting all the calls.

The big one was the hit to the head in the first period and then in the third there was a high stocking call they missed only to call He a minute later for the same thing. They were bad last night.

Yes worse this season

I’ve seen him get crushed a few times skating with his head down through centre this season.
He’s been caught lots.
Never seen him get crushed yet

DDD isn't going to fund the team with low attendance for the next ten years, which is what is left on the original lease. Any other owner would realize if you wipe the slate clean and commit to a quality product, the fans in Niagara will return.

Take a closer look. Looks like a pretty quality product right now. How long can you ignore what’s under your nose by complaining about the past forecasting future failures. Maybe all you old STH’s should acknowledge what’s in front of you.

Frolov out here getting healthy scratched by Flint. Might be time to admit the IceDogs won the f**k outta that trade to date.

That is amusing.

Just took another look at that confusing trade to refresh my memory.

I'm watching the games, just not giving DDD my money. I'm not ignoring the team, just not rushing in to say the problem is solved when there are so many unresolved issues. I gave DDD a few seasons, he kept stepping on his crank. Let's see what happens during the trade deadline before we plan a parade. Us old STH's were patient in the building and can be equally as reserved at home.

You've been on this site since October, I won't hold it against you for thinking you know it all. I was new once too.

New to you maybe but been in this league since the 70’s and I stand by my comments.

That is amusing.

Just took another look at that confusing trade to refresh my memory.

One guy is leading his team’s D in TOI and driving the offence from the back end, the other is a rotational scratch for a <0.500 team. Scott is more reliable defensively than both Podrkar and Frolov.

Niagara basically gave Barrie two huge pieces in Bertucci and Eliasson for Brauti, Scott a 2nd 3rd 3rd and 4th.

Think about a team at a deadline attempting to make that kind of splash. Have to give it to the Barrie GM.

Then they add Wakely, Gardiner and Hemming to the returning group and instant top team in the East and it wasn't even November. That's how you build a contender.

Niagara may regret doing such a favour to Barrie when playoffs come around. Will come back to bite them in the backside.

Why would they regret it? I mean if they were trying to go for it this year they’d definitely regret it but they aren’t so I doubt they truly regret it

So you are telling me Niagara was giving up before the year started. Dealing Eliasson was premature. Maybe not making the Van Vliet deal and keeping Bryant would have been a smart move. Just saying they have one of the top OA imports in the league. I guess he is getting dealt too from what you are saying.

I'm curious if the NCAA announcement changes Niagara's approach into making a run at it this season?

Roobroeck and He could both go that route if they so chose next season. Things just got a whole lot riskier.

I think long term, the OHL will need to change into a 15-19 year old league
