NHL unveils reverse retro jerseys

Sounds like the Preds are high balling us. We're more than Boston and LA so far. Preds are offering 30% off to STH's but even then it's $210 with a name plate. That's before sales tax. Good info though.

So weird. I was searching up the definition of "orgasm" and instead of a definition, it was simply a picture of this.

Blasty is pure sex and anyone who dislikes it is simply wrong.

The Athletic's article going over the jersey reveals mentioned just how much most Flames fans love Blasty. They didn't reference any other fanbase when going over the other teams.

It's clear that Flames' management (especially if you follow Director of Marketing, Ryan Popowich, on Twitter) knew what Flames fans wanted and gave us what we've been asking for for yeeeears.

It's funny because there seems to be no inbetween for Blasty. Fans either absolutely hate it and want to burn it into the ground, while the others absolute love it more than anything else (well, maybe besides the Flames now-full time retros.).

Ol Blasty is 10/10 sexy and combined with the Flames' arguable best home/away set in the NHL, the Flames went from having one of the worst jersey sets in the NHL to one of the best over the course of a summer.

Beautiful.

Detroits is disappointing. Seriously they could've reversed the striped "DETROIT" version from the 90's, or reverse the Winter Classic 2014 jerseys or hell even added red stripes instead of grey. I dont understand how someone gets paid to come up with that.

I actually enjoy Nashville's jersey, though biased. Only thing i'd prefer the navy blue where the grey is that mightve looked better imo. Not many options here anyway.

The problem isn't Blasty. The problem is that the execution was lazy. The Flames and/ or Adidas left the original jersey largely unchanged and called it a day. Ditto for the NYR offering.

That’s what we wanted though. The Liberty jersey has achieved a mythical status over the years. And it’s perfect timing for a new era.

That's because they super sized the logo and it's too far to the right, meaning the "C" or "A" needs to fit above it.
Quite disappointingly, super sized, lowered logos send to be the MO of these jerseys

You know, now that we have the template and have brought Blasty out of mothballs...

...I'd be one very, very happy camper if these replaced the old pitstripe monstrosities as the Flames' third jersey.

The Liberty is beautiful. My top 3 are Colorado, NYR and Montreal. A lot of them are fun in a retro way, I think those 3 could be worn for years.

From best to worst, in my opinion

Perfect
1- Bruins
2- Avalanche
3- Canadiens

Very nice
4- Jets
5- Rangers
6- Golden Knights

Well done
7- Hawks
8- Kings
9- Sabres
10- Wings
11- Canes
12- Leafs
13- Flyers

Good ideas that work better in theory
14- Capitals
15- Wild
16- Penguins
17- Devils

Why bother?
18- Oilers
19- Senators
20- Lightning
21- Preds
21- Islanders
22- Panthers

Don't like it
23- Flames
24- Blue Jackets
25- Stars

Maybe on drugs?
26- Canucks
27- Blues

Nice pyjama
28- Sharks

My eyes are bleeding
29- Coyotes

I'd probably drop hockey if I had to wear this as a peewee
31- Ducks

A screenshot of the Caps one front

I am kind of mixed on this. The Caps love "rock the red" but merging that concept with the old 98 jersey seems kinda off.

Maybe it's because I'm used to the eagle on a blue backdrop.

This is badass. One of the best of all the retros

Habs is a heresy lol

Should have gone with these instead:

It looks good, but it's just that the red set should be untouchable.

The biggest missed oportunity is, of course, the Ducks. Should go back with those. In fact, it should always be their home jersey. Probably my favorite set ever:

Colorado: best jersey of them all, hands down. It looks damn fine, and will probably have to buy one.

Don't like what the Blues ended up with but I was unlikely to buy a limited use jersey in the first place so this is all a big "meh" from me.

What makes it limited use to you as a fan? Do you think you need to match the players?

Is there significance with the lower case “n” in “Toronto”?
No clue. I looked it up because I was curious and they only used this logo for 4 years back in the late 60s. Every other logo ever that I can see has been a Capital "N" like the rest of the letters.

Ooh, I like it. The use of the IHL Thunder jersey design is a great way to get a throwback in for a team with such a short history. I wonder if we'll see Columbus take a similar approach and use a Cottonmouths throwback.
Thats Columbus, Georgia, homie. The Columbus Chill were our actual minor league team

I thought the same thing, no idea why it’s so low. Also didn’t the Devils just have these green sweaters like last year? Or was it primary red with green like to the left

Was primary red, basically their pre-93 road jerseys (back when white was the home color)

They never had a jersey with green as the primary.
