The red looks weird on STL. They but they are just following the reverse retro theme. They used the red trim in the late 90s on that kind of jersey. Now, they just reversed it with the blue

Same, but I did know what Nordiques meant! I guess an elephant could be a mammoth, that'd make more sense.

Yeah I definitely took a while to figure out what it was supposed to be
Has a quirky retro charm now though, and it's certainly better than some of the newer overly-complicated ones

A bit of a crude job, since I don't know how to photoshop at all. Here's what I hope the devils' reverse retros look, but probably wont.
I expect the bottom stripe of the jersey to be white, and the devils to wear a red helmet with shorts.

The way I see it, they should've saved the Nordiques stuff for games in QC itself. This comes off less as "respecting the history" and more using an iconic and beloved design for a nice cheap explosion of cash.

If this were about honoring history, Goulet's number would've stayed retired. Dallas doesn't let people use Broten's number, we don't issue out Hull or Steen's numbers. Hell, the Jets have kept the Dan Snyder Memorial Award from the Thrashers to honor their history.

i agree...i don't like when the nationals wear expos jerseys, and i think it's insulting to whalers, nords fans etc...
