I do not know, but my speculation that Buffalo is looking at Spence.

Can I simply say how insane it is that you can say this, it be ACCURATE, and the GM is still employed.

Every other GM weaponizes their retention slots for free assets just for fun. For ours, it'd be some super advanced technique they haven't tried before.

Fun fact: 16 out of 32 teams have all 3 of their retention slots. 10 out of 32 have 2 slots, 4 teams have 1 slot, and 2 teams have no slots (SJS, CHI).

I was expecting around 4 x 4 and I would've been fine with that. We have nothing else in the org resembling Greenway.

I like the player and intangibles at times, was very good with Mcleod early in the season. He had one great game since coming back from injury, but only has 3 goals (less than 15 season pace), so we will see where goes from here.

He likely has some good friends on the team and likes the small town vibe in Buffalo, (maybe a g/f ?) so kudos for that.
