I just went back and looked. It's describe the mood was "neutral, leaning optimistic about at least a few trades" right up until the Byram deal.

I'd describe the mood of this thread as "the sky is falling and we're all out of helmets."

And Frederic, while not the best fighter in the league, is among the best handful of fighters in the league. For uner $600K prorated for the rest of the season with the double retention... I don't see the comparable as Greenway being worth a lot more.

Well, so far he's having his most productive season, I think we need to take that into account when predicting a new contract.
 
Greenway easily gets a 2nd at these prices...Unfortunately the teams rumored to be in on Greenway don't have first round picks

Rangers are interested but no first rounder.

In fairness it’s not that hard to be one of the best fighters in the league when there’s like 9 people total that actually fight
 
I think LA is a really intriguing trade partner. I'd really love to get my hands on Brandt Clarke (whom I had ranked above Owen Power in his draft year and still think he has better potential) or Jordan Spence (whom I think has shown enough to be a good two-way 4/5 who is competent in his own zone).

Don't think the Kings would be dumb enough to move Clarke. I'm also quite "meh" on Spence.
 
I genuinely believe that Adams big move this year will be retaining salary for the first time in five years. It’s a perfect Adams move.

Even though all they’re actually doing is saving themselves cash…he can sell that there are no restrictions to the morons because they’ve chosen to save slightly less cash

Will keep the dumb people happy and dreaming of all the money he’s definitely spending in year 6 before they’re bottom five in spending in reality again.

Can I simply say how insane it is that you can say this, it be ACCURATE, and the GM is still employed.

Every other GM weaponizes their retention slots for free assets just for fun. For ours, it'd be some super advanced technique they haven't tried before.
