The Hertl deal is one of Vegas's few screw-ups. If they win a cup this year I guess it's worth it. But even with 20% retention that's an albatross contract and I doubt Hertl is around to see the end of it. Then factor in the price they paid. Vegas messed up big time here. Hertl will be bought out (or traded again for peanuts) before that deal expires.
