I’d say yes if they’re absolutely sure they won’t re-sign him. For the record I don’t want him extended and I don’t want them to lose him for nothing.

On paper, it's pretty clear that the top 2 teams in each division are the heavyweights in the East: Panthers, Bruins, Rangers, Canes

But if history has taught us anything, it wouldn't be a surprise if one, maybe two of those four go down in Round 1.

Canes are gearing up for a run.

You've got teams like the Flyers and Red Wings who are sort of playing with house money.

The Islanders are coming on strong and will likely pass Tampa/Philadelphia.

This puts the Bruins in a weird spot. This was supposed to be a transition year where we'd have been content with 3rd in the division or a WC spot, and yet here they find themselves, right in the thick of it with the other contenders.

Say it's Boston & Florida in Round 2, is there anything that Boston can do today that moves the needle in that match-up?

Getting a physical dman who can handle Tkachuk & Bennet out front when they’re in Swayman/ Ullmarks crease wreaking havoc. How would Kevin Miller handle those 2

Yes, trading him for someone who might help in 2027 or 2028 is basically sending up the white flag and telling the team you are quitting on the season. After they dominated Toronto twice this week. Very much the wrong message to send

I have a suspicion they are keeping Ulmark, and if they do, I think they should break the tradition of running 1 goalie in the playoffs, and run them in tandem the entire run.

It's games like last night where I think they should make a few moves. I know I said stand pat, do nothing other than unload, but when you see the effort and overall game they played last night, now I want them to add a few pieces, lol.

that's the big tease though. You know they can play ornery. They just rarely do. Now maybe they are saving it for the play-offs, but I loved what I saw.

What's the point of bringing in a bottom pairing defenseman at that point? I don't get it . Are we gonna put our hopes on lysel coming up and saving the season? Promote Brazeau to a top 6 role????
