1. Tampa 85%
2. Colorado 74%
3. Vegas 46.7%
4. NYI 38.8%

*This is going to into this season, not from what teams did 5/10/15 years ago. I would think thats self explanatory (seeing as how we have done this for every season on this board), otherwise it would have said NHL ALL-TIME Team Rankings.

I'm surprised how much love Florida is getting. They haven't won a playoff round since 1996!

And Colorado can't get out of the second round, yet there was no problem there.

Florida improved on an already great looking roster and will also have their Norris-level D back.

Funny stuff. Florida always goes under the radar. Florida was better than Tampa last season in the same division and while Tampa has lost their entire 3rd line and Florida added Reinhart, Montour Tampa is No1 and Florida out of Top5?

I think on paper, 3 - 7 are pretty tight. Tampa lost from where they were a year ago of course, but they won the cup in pretty dominant fashion. They lost their 3rd line, but also have a top 3 player in the world back full time this year. I don't think its crazy to pick the cup champions here.

Florida then Carolina for me. I think people are expecting too much from the Leafs once they go back to Atlantic division, arguably the toughest in the league

Shouldn't have made the playoffs a year ago. Were the 4th seed this year and they've gotten worse at this point.

They went to back to back eastern conference finals, seeding doesnt matter once you're in the playoffs. They beat really good teams in those playoffs too...everyone is entitiled to their own opinion I just think calling it laughable that they're ranked where they are is funny to me. Enjoy the season

I guess I just have a different interpretation of "team ranking".

If this was what team is most likely to win a cup, I guess I can understand the Isles being 4th.

What have the Islanders done to improve over the teams ahead of them last year?

I mean, we are choosing the top teams for the year and the top teams are usually who we think has a chance to win a cup. In all honesty outside out Lou, no-one really knows what the Isles are doing behind closed doors. With contracts rumored to already be signed for Cizikas, Palmeri, Parise, Beau, and Sorokin, gotta hope that Lou has something up his sleeve. Time will tell
