For the "on ice" scrolling on the bottom of the screen. Why do they just show 4 players. It makes me think is 4 on 4. ESPN doesnt get hockey again, It was a cool feature when they showed all 5.

100% rooting for Finland to win this.

Tourney is totally contrived and not just because they left out some big-name hockey countries. I was not interested, but the lack of other hockey got me watching. And contrived or not, the quality of play has been excellent. Don't care if it's made up if the hockey is great. And it is. So color me surprised and delighted.

I like this as an Olympics preview/measuring stick. Expanding to more countries just makes it tougher logistically and on the players physically. Round Robin would have to be two groups of 3 or 4 (tops) with no cross play.

The Players and the demand will drive if that’s to occur.

I bet at least some can. But the obvious thing about these 4 is that they include 2 authentic and high-intensity rivalries and both North American teams.

If we lose tonight then USA-Sweden winner will be in championship. If Canada beats us in regulation tonight they are in the Championship. If USA wins in regulation they are in championship. Not sure about the overtime stuff but the third games are all going to matter. Fun!

I can go back and forth forever and you'll never understand a different opinion. Enjoy your Nickleback of a hockey tournament. I just spent a 1/2 day snowboarding the northern rockies. I'm so bummed I missed this contrived nhl marketing campaign.

You have made it clear you have no interest the product on ice, yet you are still here chirping about a thing you refuse to watch. I certainly understand your opinion, I just find it misinformed after seeing the on-ice results so far.
