That weasel Frederic beating up on a non-fighter when his team is losing 6-1 in the 3rd. He's a POS - seem to recall him cheap-shotting one of our guys the last time we played them. Jets did the honorable (and smart in a 6-1 game) thing and challenged 2 of the Bs tough guys, instead of having someone pound on Zacha or someone of his ilk. Bruins get lionized around the league for playing the right way, when in fact they do tons of clutching and grabbling, and pull punk shit like what Frederic did last night.

How a veteran team leader handles Frederic:

I saw that too, that baby-ass excuse for a grown man should feel shame for that shit, but he’s been that way and is making money for it so…

Canes are good. Devils are good. Rangers are also good, but lost (and may not find themselves in time to do anything).

Canes are the team I worry about the most. In our division.

Florida obviously overall in the East.
Yeah we seem to struggle against the Canes? Maybe our new and improved faster team will fare better against them? But we give up a lot of odd man rushes and as I recall that's already a problem when we play the Canes, so might be even worse.

Edit: we played them earlier in the season and lost 2-4

What the heck is Weekes talking about? That was a great hit by Patches on Hughes.
I saw the hit, and one replay right after. I was watching the game. Not sure I heard Weekes's comments. But, I am guessing he might have said had something about the point of contact maybe being at the head?

I ended up not being sure if it was or if it was just close to the head. But, whatever, it looked more like a case of a guy kinda putting his head down at the last minute and an otherwise good hit, or something like that. There is no possibility of anyone ever convincing me that Patch was aiming at the head--that's for sure.

If I remember correctly, I think they gave him 2 for interference? It was either that, or there wasn't a call at all.

Toronto is pretty fun to watch. I have been watching them regularly for the last couple of years.

Plus there's all the drama underneath it all, like with it just being Toronto and the long frustration with the playoffs and the star of the show being a guy from Arizona and a new goalie from New Jersey who might be all they need to finally win a Cup, or a round or two at least. I find it all pretty riveting.

There was no call. Weekes was freaking out about how the puck wasn't even there. It was literally on his stick when Patches hit him. Total fake hysteria.

Ah. Yeah, was Weekes announcing the game? If so, now it's coming back to me. I remember one of the guys saying something about interference. I definitely don't remember thinking there was anything weird about no call being made, now anyway.

I think Patch got another penalty that game somewhere else and I was getting it all mixed up.
