Devils schedule is truly... interesting.

They have now played 15 games already, 4 more than Caps and Rangers and 5 more than 'Canes.

They play 4 games this week and 3 games next week. Infact they play their game 21 before Rangers reach 16 games.

Only noticing this really as in my mind i thought Devils were one of the best teams in the league when in reality if you sort it by point % they are closer to Blue Jackets than any of Rangers/Caps/Canes.

Anyways big week for divisional match-up's. Canes have Flyers and Pens. Isles have Devils and Pens. Caps play Pens. Isles also have a long road-trip coming up afterwards and with Barzal and Pelech out for over a month, they could be out of the Playoff hunt early.

Hagens is going to the Islanders. He grew up there as an Isles fan. The NHL will make new pajama boy replace old pajama boy.
As Tavares himself pointed out - somewhat bizarrely - in the Prime hockey series that aired recently: "They weren't even pyjamas - they were bedsheets"

It was so weird how he felt he had to explain it. Like it made it somehow way less gay because he wasn't wearing Maple Leaf PJ's - just the sheets and bedspread.

Put on the blues game for gambling purposes

What a scary scene the player takes the puck to the neck skates around for a shift and almost faints, and looks almost motionless on the bench. They canceled the rest of the period.

It's kind of baffling we have Leonard and they have Michkov.

If they wanted a defensively responsible tough hard working guy why didn't they just take him???

A co-worker who is a hard core flyers fan I told him I was super surprised that the flyers took Mitchkov over Leonard (who historically reallly fits their profile) but he was super stoked about the Russian.

When I watch Erik Karlsson in his own end, I can't imagine that the coaches don't want to healthy scratch him. He's so unbelievably bad defensively. His 2023 Norris was a complete farce. -One of the biggest disaster awards in NHL history IMO.
Dubas likes to make these big moves and “win” trades and call himself a genius (he’s got the nerdy glasses and all!)

But, dude knows f*** all about constructing a successful team. I hope FSG keeps this travesty of him + Sullivan going for years.

Insane how poor their depth is. They pretty much stack the top line and run Eller at 2C:

go read the first two pages of the pens post game thread. They are attacking each other over being fat. It’s kind of insane lmao.

Guys relax. Hockey is not that big of a deal.

You all are waaaaaay too obsessed with the Pens…

The best part of their demise is that they deserve ZERO attention as they decline….
Most (but not all) of my animosity towards them evaporated when we won the Cup. Or maybe I’m just getting older and I don’t have the energy to devote to disliking other teams and priorities in life have shifted.

Mostly I think it’s cool that we had Sid and Ovi for two decades and both teams were apart of the NHL’s resurgence after the lockout season. As a fan of sports in general, I appreciate how rare it is that Sid and Ovi went to rival teams, surpassed the impossible expectations heaped on them, have been the faces of the league since 2005, and are still going strong. They’re like Manning vs Brady.

The league will be worse off when Ovi and Sid are gone, and if the Pens and Caps stink. We need talented teams to keep rivalries intense otherwise you get the watering down of rivalries past like with the Redskins/WFT/Commanders when they sucked for two decades.
