84 tho. Good life. Would be very happy to get to 84.

I hear ya tho
For me I don't know what I have in store for myself considering both sides of my family are really differing so for me don't want to last too long. My Dad's side super long lived all around but they do get some type of Alzheimer-like descent. My Dad's mom at 93 she lasted to 104 though that last 5/6 years were zombieland. My Dad is in the middlezone at 89 though still just able to still be at home with some extra care. Mom's side which I follow more physically they only lasted to late 60s/eary 70s and were taken out mostly heart stuff but quickly not anything diagnosed.

Yikes.

High-danger chances for/against vs. EDM:

Crosby 5-9
Malkin 1-9
Letang 1-8
Karlsson 4-8
Pettersson 2-8
Rakell 1-9
Bunting 1-8

Talk about giving up on defense.

Crosby still leads the league in bleeding high-danger chances against by a whopping 8. Only 2 non-Penguins in the top-10 are Dougie Hamilton and Colton Parayko. For Crosby his 41% high-danger chance ratio is daunting given he still gets his soft offensive zone starts.

On top of everything no puck luck. It will eventually turn around.

Sullivan is fired for sure if the Pens lose again tonight.

The players have quit on him... even Crosby. I don't think Sullivan is necessarily a bad coach, but he is way past his expiration date in Pittsburgh. That team needs a new direction, and he isn't the one who can give it to them. Although, even if they do fire him, the Pens have much bigger systemic issues. They have no cap space, very few tradable assets, and not many promising young prospects. Changing the coach is about all they can realistically do. That may give them a temporary bump, but it does nothing to change the overall downward trajectory of the organization.

It's mind boggling that some people keep saying that the Caps are only making moves to help Ovie get the record and yet the Pens get no criticism of how poorly they have been managed in the twilight of Crosby and Malkin's career. By comparison, BMac has done a masterful job of retooling his team and setting us up for the future.

Pens lose again. Now dead last in the Eastern Conference and only ahead of the Sharks in the entire league.

They are allowing the most shots against per game with the second worst GAA in the entire league.
I mean, this all objectively hilarious. And Sullivan continues to have the best job security in all of NA.

HOWEVER, I don’t want them to be bad enough to get Hagens. Cause you just know that, if they’re in striking distance, ‘ol Gary will help out his favorite “model franchise.”

So, hopefully Sid puts them on his back to propel them just out of lottery range.

Come on they aren't going to be bottom 3 at end of season. They are terrible but some bandaids will be applied - I don't think they're going to visibly tank or try to subtley tank. I think they're going to land around bottom 10 out of 32 in the league.

Sorry travelling for work again so weird time zone reply. I haven't even watched the Caps / NYR game yet but going to now

Somewhat amusing that PLD was the problem in LA and now his former linemates are struggling and he's thriving here. 11-0 high-danger chances with him on the ice vs. Rangers against tough competition.

Fiala healthy-scratched. Next scapegoat?
True but we just benched our 3C who is one of the Caps highest picks since Alzner and the 3rd line looked even worse last night

Wait. You talking about Lapierre? He was picked 22. That the highest since Alzner (4th?).

I’m confused by everything you wrote, Mr mitts

Pens are too close to the basement for me. I prefer them just missing the playoffs while blowing futures on old guys.
They will rally. They always do
