just watched the highlights and yup danforth totally high sticked that guy on the GWG lol

but the crocodile tears being shed over it makes it a little better. I would be pissed too in their position. But oh well..calls even out in the end

The first period nothing extra but ceremony was excellent. I will watch two periods today but I think Príborov and Mateychuk have very good chemistry. I like Johnson too, excellent skill and hockey IQ. Jenner helped the second line. If Monahan returns, we will have two excellent lines minimum.

Just home from the game. What an evening! Ugly game except for the win but that’s a thing where maybe “good teams know how to win even when they’re not at their best”?

Atmosphere was great - the crowd really brought it. And that ending. I wonder if people will ever stop being surprised that Columbus kicks ass at this stuff.

Toes are ok now. Lower back hopefully by morning.

Well done, boys!

All the forwards got between 10-18 minutes of ice time, Evason is doing such a great job making sure players are as fresh as possible. I think that's going to help down the stretch so much.

Agreed. I normally don’t complain about in game stuff but before the pep rally I thought he was dj’ing a wedding with all the songs being played. Also, Mike Todd is way better.
Don't get me wrong, top 3 Jackets game I have ever been to, but it felt like the Jackets had nothing to do with it. It felt to me like it was run by and for ESPN and OSU.

No Leo.
Was there even a goal horn?
There should have been alumni pumping up the crowd.
C-B-J should have been flashed on the screen to pump up the crowd.
How about a John-ny Hock-ey chant led from the screens? No, absolutely nothing.
No Mike Todd. I know some may be burned out on him, but he is part of Blue Jackets history and deserved to do that instead of sparkly show guy who has no idea who the home team was. The guy they got sucked.
No CBJ pump up between play, just OSU cheerleaders, OSU dance team, OSU band and announcer who knew morning about the Jackets.

I know I am an old man yelling at clouds. I am ecstatic that the Jackets somehow won that game. It was fantastic.

Well the NHL runs it all so I get it. I am shocked there was no goal horn. Much of the tiem I couldn't tell a goal was scored until I saw player reaction so goal lights or anything that will help identifiy a score quicker would have helped.

As a noted OSU b*tch and moaner because I don't like what college athletics (mostly football) has become I actually enjoyed the atmosphere. I enjoyed the athletic band playing the goal song after the cannon shot off. Mostly I just enjoyed a large majority of the 94k+ cheering for our team.
