NHL Playoff Schedule Information Thread

If the VGK-MIN does end up having to start in MIN (I can't see it, very little precedent), the obvious way to do it would be 2-3-1-1, which I believe someone mentioned earlier.

In other words: Game 1+2 in MIN, Game 3, 4, 5 in Vegas, game 6 in MIN, and Game 7 in Vegas. This would prevent the uneven split after 4 games, which is important in case the series is a sweep, but without removing the higher seeded team's advantage in any way other than starting at home, which shouldn't be that big of a deal anyway.

Also: might as well get my annual lobbying out of the way:

Bring back the 2-3-2 format, you cowards!!! :fight:

The longer we go without getting a schedule the more likely Vegas is losing a home game and will be forced to play game 1 on the road. Love to see it. That’s what you deserve for loaning out your arena to a phony wrasslin show for 5 days.

is your dad a wrestler that went out for milk and never came back or something? because your obsession with shitting on a form of entertainment, even if you don't like it, is really sad

The NHL is so terrible at releasing the schedules. I don't understand why they couldn't drop it tonight as soon as all the series were finalized. They do this every single year and it makes zero sense.

The best is when they announce the schedule, then change it days later.

In 2023 they announced the schedule for the Vegas/Oilers series, and a lot of people bought tickets, flights, hotels, etc for Game 1 and 2. Then at the 11th hour the NHL bumped it back a day and cost a lot of people a lot of money trying to move around travel plans on flights that were largely already booked.

They're using both over the weekend but not using T-mobil on the Sunday. There isn't a firm answer yet whether the ice can be put back in and then removed between the Saturday and Monday shows

or if WWE has the available personnel to do the teardown Saturday because most will be busy at WrestleMania... as I imagine WrestleMania is an "all hands on deck" event for them.

Maurice is such a troll I have no idea if this is him playing games and Tkachuk is fully healthy and ready to go, or if this is actually reading like Tkachuk is coming back and playing but will be playing hurt
I'd guess the latter, we see it all the time... they have different levels of "hurt"... how many times have we heard in the preseason that "if it was a regular season game he'd be playing"... or in-season, "if it was a playoff game, he'd be playing"

Gotta imagine Tampa Bay are going to be finishing their checks on him as hard as they can early on in the series.

Outside of stuff like natural disasters/weather, it's truly insane pro leagues are allowed to change game days without compensation required to impacted ticket holders. Terms & Conditions are wayyyy too far reaching in these instances. For another example, take a look at the nonsense the NFL can pull. They are allowed to flex games from Thursday to Sunday with a few week's notice and zero repercussions.

It was bad.

I can't remember the exact circumstance, but the schedule change made it effectively impossible to re-book. I think it might have actually moved back a day and those flights were just gone. Left people with flights they can't reschedule, hotel bookings screwed up, etc. Someone at my work scrambled to get everything booked as soon as it was announced and then basically had to eat $1k+ because of it.

The best part is the justification for it was the Florida Panther's owner had a horse in the Kentucky Derby and he wanted to go, so they shuffled a Panther game out of that time slot and moved the Oiler game in. Bush league nonsense.
