So, assuming that Rogers uses the same servers for NHL Live and Sportsnet Now, doesn't this really boil down to buying NHL Live and getting SN Now free?
Not sure what you mean, thread title says NHL live is no more, so you can’t buy it.So, assuming that Rogers uses the same servers for NHL Live and Sportsnet Now, doesn't this really boil down to buying NHL Live and getting SN Now free?
But if you read the OP, the tweet says that you'll be able to get the same content by subscribing to SN Now for the same price as NHL Live. Not sure what you mean, thread title says NHL live is no more, so you can’t buy it.
I’m not sure about the same content though, it’s says more regional games, doesn’t say all regional games. I guess it is confusing. But if you read the OP, the tweet says that you'll be able to get the same content by subscribing to SN Now for the same price as NHL Live.
Should be or get a high def attena, if you can pick up a local CBC feed, that would be free. They are cheap. Is cbc available? I can usually find a free legal cbc stream on saturdays.
C'mon you know wine makes you emotional
They'd have to blackout the entire game if they want to mask officiating.what a joke. f*** Sportsnet. f*** any company who doesn’t show the viewers the replays when they expose the refereeing
Premium existed before. It included a lot of international rugby and soccer stuff (and other stuff from, I think, from Sportsnet World) They’ve now expanded that tier to include out-of-market NHL and the Wwe Network). From all indications, the Standard tier is continuing as is, because it’s listed right beside Premium on the sales page for the packages,I’m not sure about the same content though, it’s says more regional games, doesn’t say all regional games. As before Live wasn’t regional games, at least my understanding.
Oh I see they are changing name to premium,
So assuming Sportsnow Now (non premium) to be old price?
Hopefully for in market fans non premium will still be available.

Lets just keep that under our hat shall we ? I live in a zone that shares the Sens and Habs while blacking out the Leafs so I can't even buy a package that includes Leafs home games , don't screw up what works by leaking it to the holier than tho eh !NHL66
Center Ice and NHL Live both black out the Leafs here .It’s not a Toronto thing lol, it works that way for 32 teams.
That why you need Centre Ice, or whatever Rogers calls it , NHL live, or if in States, the equivalent.
Not true working up in Nunivut we still had the Leafs games blacked outPremium existed before. As for regional games, you’ll get all out-of-market regional games plus any in-market regional games that are carried by Sportsnet. So, someone living outside the Leafs region would get all Leafs games (regional and national). Someone living in the Leafs region would get all national Leafs games plus the 15 or so regional games carried by Sportsnet Ontario, but not the 26 regional games carried by TSN4.
No that’s a 100% wrong on out of market games, as someone that has had it for over 20 years, With my regional package and Centre Ice, I get 100% of any teams games, unless for some weird game it’s not televised, but doesn’t really happen anymore.Lets just keep that under our hat shall we ? Surely the powers at be know about it. They do carry American games that Rogers doesn't have the rights to, so they should skate by on that technicality. Who knows what will happen if the overlords pass C-11 though.Lets just keep that under our hat shall we ? I don’t think so. Roger’s has access to out of market games like US games with Premium. So there is no technicality.Surely the powers at be know about it. Every year I try to buy and every year they end up telling me everything but the Leafs , I'm an hr north of Ottawa on the Quebec side of the river so they offer me a choice of the Sens or the Habs but no Leafs pkg . Think what you want but if it isn't on HNIC or an away game being broadcast from the away team I can't get the Leafs game with a legit cable or Sat package .No that’s a 100% wrong on out of market games, as someone that has had it for over 20 years, With my regional package and Centre Ice, I get 100% of any teams games, unless for some weird game it’s not televised, but doesn’t really happen anymore.
I know Roger’s didn’t always have the full Centre Ice, maybe 80% at one time.
With Bell I’ve never missed any out of market games with Centre Ice for 20 years of any team.
I’m the same region as you in Habs/Sens region btw, and get all the Leafs games.
Maybe someone else can chime in on out of market experience with Centre Ice,
This is how I think it works in the US with ESPN+ so it may be similar with SN Now
If you have an ESPN+ account you can watch some of the games available on tv in your region , however, you must have a centre ice or nhl.tv subscription linked to ESPN+ if you want watch out of market games, excluding TNT and local team.
I could be doing it wrong and It'd be nice to reduce a 200/ month tv and streaming subscription down to 20, but I haven’t figure out a way to do that.
I guess that the NHL / NHL.com doesn’t want to bother maintaining the streaming service and the expenses around doing it and drive everyone to the rights holders who have ample resources.
ESPN+ sucks internationally (in Australia anyways), you have to join through a partnering network so you can’t actually stream through a smart or Apple TV, I end up having to airplay from my phone to the TV so quality is shit and you can’t pause a live game or start from the beginning. You have to filter through every other sport to even find the stream and eIther you watch the full live game or wait for an hour after it finishes to be able to watch the start and be able to pause - not sure what SN will be like but NHLlive was 10,000 X better than ESPN+Espn+ is fabulas in US. Not just hockey but alot of other sports too. CFL if you want it. Only like 6 bucks a month , you could stop sub outside hockey regular season if you wanted to since all playoffs are on tnt or espn proper. Only drawback is watching a game on replay you can pretty much figure out when the game ends by the length on timeline. I wish they remove that.
Nothing will change for you.Living in Toronto, with a regular cable package (whatever 'regular' means, but you get the picture) allows us to watch all weeknight games on either Sportsnet or TSN. And also Saturday night games on CBC.
Is any of this changing? If so, how?
woo-freaking-hooNothing will change for you.
