Thanks, all. Mrs. Parent and I appreciate your kind responses. He's 85 and has been in hospital since the 24th with pneumonia and influenza. Good to buy in bulk, I guess. Oxygen level is good for now on 80% inspired so we are home. He's an obstinate old buzzard so he may still outlive me.

(Note: I am not presently ill in case anyone reads that into my previous sentence.)

Judging from your dad jokes I out you about 65. So you’re at least 32 years younger than @Captain Dave Poulin

What is a knight really? He isn't just some righteous nerd who rides horses and carries a sword. Truly, knights are noble warriors who serve the common man. Calm, fearless in danger, undeterred by consequences, and complicated in morality as some may be forced into conflict to uphold the code of chivalry.

Coming from someone that works in an aspect of healthcare, this is ghoulish.
I just took someone that murdered someone and that murder took 20 something years to finalize and I felt ashamed once I realized it.
But you go on and glorify murder. That’s cool.
Tell me, what are your thoughts on Marvin Heemeyer again? Actually, ignore that. Agreed that the glorification of this dude is scary, not because we need to save the CEOs, but because political violence is a double-edged sword and it rarely, if ever, leads to a more just society.

Anyway, can we not in this one particular thread, out of all of the threads on this stupid forum?

One person murdered a person who was not involved at all with their healthcare in the name of healthcare justice, and was more well off than the person he murdered.
The other did not hurt anybody. Not kill, he didn’t hurt anybody.

He didn't physically harm anyone, but he absolutely hurt people. I guess if the other dude had just taken a bulldozer to the CEO's house, it would have been all good.

Also, did you not see this part:

Very sorry to hear this, my friend. You and yours will be in our thoughts as well.

(I had to set an alarm to make sure I hit Post after the automerge timer.)

You don’t get to say not to bring something into a thread when you are bringing it into a thread.
Yes, if he bulldozed the dudes house he would be financially hurt but still alive.
You seem to have a problem differentiating between the two forms of wrong.
One is categorically worse than the other.

I didn’t want to bring anything into the thread but I’m not going to stay quiet over someone else selecting a murderer with an active ongoing investigation 100% on purpose. I selected a shitty person accidentally and would like to change to someone else but I was not going to push that issue. I still would like to change it because that’s not what this threads about.
@Captain Dave Poulin can I change my pick for local what’s it called?
