Friendly reminder to all my Quackies, Robby the Robot is my Team Kitchen Appliance. Now, go whisk some shit, Robby!

The Honolulu Ghibli venture into familiar territory for our next automaton. Our Team Robot (Skeleton) shall be......Geoff Peterson

but-father-i-want-to-fly-into-the-sun-careful-icarus.gif

Dearest Geoff! With his The Price is Right name tag, metal mohawk, and a self-described voice that's "one part Snagglepuss, one part Vincent Price, two parts George Takei." He already has a little place in the Quackverse where he goes swimming and throws beads because he has a little place everywhere where he goes swimming and throws beads. He's also a gay robot -- not that there's anything wrong with that.

Craigy Ferg is our Team Cheerleader, so the dynamic duo rides again (@kudymen )! This was the pinnacle of absurdist (non-cartoon) late nite. Their improv -- and the Late Late Show was almost entirely improv -- made my gut bust a gut. I watched it every night.

Fun fact: the late Grant Imahara from MythBusters was Geoff's creator.

@BernieParent -- I don't know much about the Three Laws of Robotics, but I do know Quackverse Law says you're up!

I've really enjoyed the Knives Out movies for what they are even though my disdain for Rian Johnson burns with a passion for a certain other movie (shoutout @mja and @Striiker). The character of Benoit just cracks me up and maybe he'll invite Marta over at some point.
Episodes 7, 8, and 9 are completely irredeemable dogshit. Especially 8.

The only options are to consider them non-canon or consider the Skywalker saga ruined.

“The owners of the Halifax Galleons will use our first-round selection to focus on the category with the intersection of few top options and one we care about. We will, therefore, select as Team Detective the diminutive Belgian Hercule Poirot.

DavidSuchet_-_Poirot.png
20poirot-notebook-branagh-nile-mediumSquareAt3X.jpg

“One of Agatha Christie’s most famous characters, Hercule Poirot appeared in 33 novels, 2 plays (Black Coffee and Alibi), and 51 short stories published between 1920 and 1975. He has been portrayed by 27 actors, the most recent of whom was Kenneth Branagh.

“As described by his companion-chronicler and best friend, Captain Arthur Hastings: ‘[Poirot] was hardly more than five feet four inches but carried himself with great dignity. His head was exactly the shape of an egg, and he always perched it a little on one side. His moustache was very stiff and military. Even if everything on his face was covered, the tips of moustache and the pink-tipped nose would be visible. The neatness of his attire was almost incredible; I believe a speck of dust would have caused him more pain than a bullet wound. Yet this quaint dandified little man who, I was sorry to see, now limped badly, had been in his time one of the most celebrated members of the Belgian police.’

“And with that first selection made, we are very pleased to pass the turn to @Young Sandwich.”

This was my original pick before I realized you'd likely snipe it, and I then switched to someone else who I was certain you'd also snipe. This is good. Because the latter will last, but Poirot wouldn't have.

That Poirot actor on the left is the definitive version and I'll embowel all who disagree.

As usually the snipee rather than the sniper, I'm relieved you have a Plan B, Beef. Am I to understand your threat to add intestines to David Suchet naysayers?

Zero chance of making it by me if you did chance it. But I would have accepted the loss happily because David Suchet is Poirot. He's as married to my inner perception of the character as any actor in any role.

I've been thinking about some serious stuff lately, and I've come to the quasi-conclusion that this very well might be my favorite form to ingest beef at this specific point in time.

@BiggE would you look at that. Just look at it. It's beautiful.
It was between this and Johnny 5. Looking at this pic, I'm starting to second guess myself.

It was exceptionally hard to decide what to choose first in this phase ... and yet, look at this absolute beauty.

Vought_F4U_Corsair_%28USMC%29.jpg

Though it wasn't the only reason, one of the biggest reasons I chose this is that it was used in the 70s show "Baa Baa Black Sheep," which was fantastic and deserves to be remembered more than it is. I fell in love with these when I saw them in the show and have never forgotten about them. I had to have the Spitfire first, but I was waiting for this category to nab these as well. It's a badass.

Endorsed even though you’re not my favorite person right now.
I should have spited you by taking your team babe as my neighbor

I hope A-Aron found some crystals and elixirs to fix his Achilles, because otherwise he will have to rely on nasty science.

We start the day with @Asnito on the clock, @ajgoal on deck, @pit on the lido deck, and DancingPants on the lido afterdeck.

I haven't watched "Ahsoka" yet, so no spoilers. You know that I almost never spoil "Twinkle Love," so please return the favor.
