Craig Kimbrel always makes me nervous for you guys.

We start the day with @Asnito on the clock, @ajgoal on deck, @pit on the lido deck, and DancingPanther on the lido afterdeck.

On Rebel's recommendation, I watched that movie "No One Will Save You" on Hulu last night. It was creepy as balls, especially in the early hours of the home invasion. I was like "Why am I watching this shit at night whilst living in the middle of nowhere?" Kaitlyn Dever did a really good job, and her story is interesting. Somehow, someone saw something in her in a nothing role in the shitty and needlessly political miasma that was that Tim Allen show and cast her in "Justified," where she was excellent. I guess it just goes to show that once you get your foot in the door, you have a chance.

She's a hell of young actress. Not sure if you watched season 1 of The Last Of Us, but Dever is who I wanted them to cast as Ellie. After watching this movie, it only confirms how perfect she would have been.

Also, i'm glad I wasn't the only one creeped the f*** out lol. What did you think of the ending though?

I thought it was OK, actually. I much prefer that than the stupid open-ended non-endings we get too often.

I hadn’t thought of that about Dever. That would’ve been great, although she’s too old for the role.

I think she can pass as a high-schooler (see: Booksmart) and then when they do Season 2 of The Last Of Us, which takes places a few years down the line, she would been even more perfect. Instead, I think they plan on recasting Ellie for Season 2.

It was certainly different.
It just felt so jarring at the time. I do kind of like the idea though

I hadn’t heard about a recast. I don’t know why they would do that. Bella Ramsay was not just turned 20, so playing 17 or 18 still makes sense.

Booksmart was also filmed in 2018, which would’ve made Kaitlyn Dever only 21 at the time.

I just looked into again and the Ellie recast was debunked. Bella Ramsey is returning.

She was very good in Unbelievable on Netflix too.

Since @mja is a sniping jerk and we don't feel like digging through all the options out there, we'll fall back on an old favorite. When you absolutely, positively, want to drink AND not fall asleep all night:

Team Energy Drink: Jägermeister and Red Bull.

Important note, this isn't the Jägerbomb demi-shot. This is a full mixed drink. I have very few memories of drinking about 30 of these over the course of a single night.

@pit? Yeah, let's go with @pit

I had originally been considering The Vision, as picked by @BernieParent , but had mentally disqualified him as I wasn't sure if an android (well, synthezoid) would qualify.

With Bern smashing that wall down, and having also verified that he is indeed part of the Robot Fall of Fame

In addition to having a positronic brain with a storage capacity of 100 petabytes and a linear computational speed of 60 trillion operations per second to go along with tremendous strength and durability, this android also loves his cat Spot.

Team robot: CODSWORTH. A steadfast companion and a worthy combat adversary, Codsworth is capable of cleaning, cooking, tidying, babysitting, melting foes with his flame thrower, sympathizing, critically thinking, sawing people in half with his circular saw, locating useful items, overseeing entire settlements...he does it all. A wonderful companion to have by our side as Plats.

As a kid, he was one of the hardest bosses to defeat and, as far as I can tell, still frustrates many people today.

Little did I know at the time that he was a replacement for a star athlete whose contract had just expired coinciding with said athlete losing in one of the greatest upsets in sports history.

Full of nostalgia, the Seattle Sockeyes are proud to select Mr. Dream.

Excellent choice, @pit, and I am glad I inadvertently blazed this trail for you. I reread and rereread the description, also unsure whether an android would be disqualified.
