We took our little one last month and she had a blast.

One of the skaters had a bad crash, though... thankfully missed by our kid.
The show I saw, and the show that everyone I know has seen, have always been fantastic.
The other thing we all had in common was either a kid getting sick during it, or having a complete meltdown for no reason (not a no you can’t have a $35 shaved ice monstrosity), or just didn’t care for the show somehow.

I hope your experience is better than anyone else’s that I know.
I expected much worse. TV has some sensory issues and I absolutely did not expect him to sit in a seat but my Step-mom really wanted to take him so I hit up a family friend that has suite access. I wanted to make sure that he would have some space to walk around if he wanted to instead of being stuck next to the masses which I knew he wouldn’t do. At least that gave him a fighting chance.

He isn’t feeling his best and for most of the day wouldn’t leave HCette or my side and was just kind of a mush.

So we get to the suite and the show started a minute before we got there. He sat in a seat for the entire opening and Frozen story (an hour). He was clapping and smiling and having a great time. During the second act he started walking around more and not really paying as much attention but still behaved amazingly.

All in all it was a much better experience than I anticipated going in.

I’m so glad to hear that

So basically he behaves much better than most of us here.

Yo yo yo! Monday, Bloody Monday is over.

We start the day with @Magua on the clock, @GKJ on deck, @Hollywood Cannon on the Lido Deck on Ice, and Rebel's drunk holiday ass on the lido afterdeck since I will be picking in a minute.

Holy f***, what an ordeal. On Christmas, I woke up about 15 minutes early as my nose started to bleed. I must have picked at it in my half-sleep, and it started to go. It took about three hours for it to stop as I sat in the chair holding dozens of paper towels against my nose. But it did stop. Then I took a shower, and it started again, as I knew it would. A couple of hours later it stopped again. I went to bed that night thinking it was clotted enough to sleep lying down, but that's only because I am a f***ing idiot. It broke open at 2:15 a.m., two hours into my sleep, and it eventually clotted at 9:30. F***ing douchelord bastard nose.

I know what is going on, and I even figured out a second level to it. What is going on is that it has been insanely dry and cold out here, and I have spent quite a lot of time outside, but it is also dry and cold where I sit all day and night, because it is right by the back door. All of that has caused the ... brain membrane or whatever it's called in my nose to turn into something akin to rice paper, cold and brittle and weak as f***, so when I tried to clear a Christmas bogie out of it, it basically tore a hole in my nose's brain membrane. The second layer, though, is that I lived in Thailand all that time, where it is always humid as thunderf***, so it left my brain membranes vulnerable to the cold and dry shit out here. I thought of this not because I am a scientist, because I am not a scientist, but because I used the last of my common sense after the rest of it was washed away in the torrent of blood. I thought of how bad my ears have been bothered by itching since I got back here, and this is not dissimilar. But at least it stopped. I'm being pretty careful not to move too much or bend over, and I slept upright in the chair last night with a humidifier going the whole time.

I am going to wait a few minutes to try and outwit the automerge c***, and then I'll make my pick. But I will never again pick my nose.

I don't know if anyone remembers, because it was two years ago, but the beginning of this whole process was like the Wild West when it came to picking. People were just grabbing shit in piles because we didn't know we would evolve into what we are now - a tremendously disciplined draft crew preparing for the establishment of a brand-new society in the dark reaches of space in an area which is balls-deep in ducks.

Anyway, in those early days, not everything made it onto the spreadsheet. We use just what is on the spreadsheet to determine what we can and cannot pick now, which is fine, but during those first few phases I picked the entire Terrace House panel as my studio hosts, or something - I can't remember exactly what it is at the moment, but I am going to try to do a deep dive and find it after I post this. I feel fine about taking all of them, but only because there is zero chance anyone else would.

Anyf***, I am going to pick a talk show host here with the thought that we will have two talk shows, or something. Maybe this host will host a Quackverse dating program, and maybe she will even be involved as one of the ladies I date.

This is one of the hosts for "Exchange," or "Change Days," or whatever it is officially called - that's the show where exes move into a house with their exes and other people's exes, and they all date in a huge pile. It is a tremendous show, one of my favorites, and she is just TOTALLY adorable. She has a sweet girly voice and a very sweet personality, and she is gorgeous. I am happy to add her to the harem crew of deadly lovelies.

Team Talk Show Host - Kim Ye-won

@Magua

He called a friend and got in a box. Fancy pants didn’t pay for anything

RIP
Oh I certainly did pay for things.

I reached out to our old suite rep asking how much it would cost for one and they said $2k for 12 tickets and food which I laughed at. So I reached out to friend of friend and got them for much cheaper and not including food.

You can mail me all the buffalo wings you didn't eat

Excuse me for a second as I clear my throat.

HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We still exist, so that's good, and we are still picking, in theory, at least. Let's do it this way this time. @Rebels57, or whatever shrapnel is left of him, is on the clock, DancingPanther is on deck, Strawberry Fields is on the lido deck, and Striiker is on the lido afterdeck with a pair (phrasing). @Magua has gone the longest without making up his make-up pick. @GKJ has gone the second longest without making up his make-up pick. Cannon has the most recent abandoned pick to make up. Having said that, we are still patient as balls and chillaxing to f***, so no pressure. What I mean is that you shouldn't blame yourselves should you be the cause of my nose hemorrhaging again out of impatience and/or rage.

This is the best season of "I am SOLO" so far - the people on there are real characters, especially the girls, all of whom have really interesting personalities, and most of whom are quite scrumptious. I'm also watching the latest season of "The Great British Baking Show," but the hot one on there already got voted off (deservedly, unfortunately), and I find myself much less interested in it in general than I used to be. I don't know how much of that is down to sheer exhaustion with foodie shit, but I think it is more down to the hosts. A little Noel Fielding goes a LONG way, and there is far too much of it here. Matt Lucas lost a bunch of weight, and it really has effected him in a bad way - he is very strangely humorless, which added to his hairlessness makes for a wholly unwelcome viewing experience. I'll finish it off, but I won't like it.

What I will like for sure is season two of "Alice in Borderland," which I will inhale after the final eps are dropped on Jan. 10 and I have re-watched season one.

I am going on a trip around the world to find a new place to live. Any suggestions?? No Canada or US. No cold bs either. And I don’t give a shit about hockey.

Obviously, if you could find your way to Japan, please ensure that you have a spare room. I don't need a lot of space, and I am good at keeping blood from getting all over everything everywhere.

FOG Team Element - COPERNICUM

Copernicium (Atomic number: 112)

Copernicium was discovered fairly recently, in 1996. It’s named after the Renaissance scientist Nicolaus Copernicus, who was one of the first people to model the solar system with the Sun, rather than the Earth, at the centre.
The thing that makes this metal so ‘metal’ though, is that it turns into a gas at room temperature. Theoretically, you could breathe in metal. That’s extremely hardcore (although please don’t try it at home)."

A metal that turns into a Gas at Room Temperature? The FOG will use it as part of our compounds security system.

@DancingPanther you are up

Team queen: the Queen of Marigold from the song Cry Baby Cry

The King of Marigold was in the kitchen cooking breakfast for the queen
The queen was in the parlour playing piano for the children of the king

The king was in the garden
picking flowers for a friend who came to play
The queen was in the playroom painting pictures for the children's holiday

The duchess of Kircaldy always smiling and arriving late for tea
The duke was having problems with a message at the local Bird and Bee

At twelve o'clock a meeting round the table for a seance in the dark
With voices out of nowhere put on specially by the children for a lark

A nice segue to @Strawberry Fields picking
