Four Score: Strong start for new "Four Nations Face-Off"
The NHL may have something with its new "Four Nations Face-Off," which opened with a strong audience on TNT Wednesday.

TNT was number one for the night for the male demo for ages 18-34, 18-49 and and 25-54. That includes network TV programs not just cable.
Good catch. It had NBC, ABC, CBS, FS1, Fox News etc for sub-demo totals but not ESPN.I'm not sure the PI list is including all networks (e.g. ESPN) for the sub-demos there.
Definitely not in Finland though.prediction USA-Finland 1.6 million
I meant ESPN, do you have any NHL numbers in Finland you can post?Definitely not in Finland though.
We won't know until Monday.I meant ESPN, do you have any NHL numbers in Finland you can post?
-Four Nations on ESPN Thursday-
USA-Finland: 1.548M
It would be great if you could post them, you dont have any older ratings? We won't know until Monday.
3.4m?
Hoping this is the start to droping the All Star game soon
I agree anything less than that the NHL should fold and Bettman forced to manage a Tim Hortons in Nunavut.Anything less than 5 million on ABC is a massive disappointment. Broadcast, no competition, and plenty of big names on the ice. I don’t want to hear any excuses.
We can change the goal posts and try and set up a scenario where if it doesn't hit a certain viewership number is becomes a disappointment. The other option is to already view this as a tremendous success (I didn't think it would) and something to build on for 2028. USA/Finland led all demo's for younger viewers for all networks the other night. Don't recall anyone expecting that? This isn't the Olympics that had 26.7 viewers for USA/Canada gold medal game in US. It is a NHL made for TV event. With some competition from the NBA skills competition 3.5 million in the US would a good number and carry the night for viewership. 5 million would be great though! I agree.Anything less than 5 million on ABC is a massive disappointment. Broadcast, no competition, and plenty of big names on the ice. I don’t want to hear any excuses.
