To be fair, the Kings would have had to entice a team to trade a pick in that range to be able to draft Schneider.

If they need toughness they can address that with free agent signings, like MacDermid who was undrafted. Better not to waste picks on potential stiffs like another Teubert or McIlrath.

Mukhamadullin was ranked in the 2nd round by most publications.

Devils had 3 picks so they took a risk on this one. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

In fairness, I know very little to nothing about him. Haha.

To be fair, the Kings would have had to entice a team to trade a pick in that range to be able to draft Schneider.

I don’t think they have the assets to give up to jump into the top 20, which is roughly where Schneider was projected to go. The Kings are probably better off sitting where they’re at and waiting to find another Kaliyev/Fagemo with their three picks in the 2nd.
