GDT: NHL Draft Day 2

Also, if Panarin loses Strome he probably wants to play with Zibanejad I would put money on.

so Danault wouldn't be playing with him, it would probably be Laf and Kako, or Kreider and Kakko etc

Didn’t notice that Raty made it through the 1st. Don’t trust Drury to move up though to snag him without giving up the farm

Could we trade Strome for 2- 2nds and Georgiev for a 2nd?



Players I would like in the 2/3/4 rounds are
Pinelli, Helenius, Doan, Savage, Grubbe, Stjernborg, Klimovich, Raty, Buium, Whynot, Kapenen, Dach, Montgomery, Dower- Nilsson, Rysavy,.

rounds 5/6/7 are
Bardakov, Blake, Lachance, Bankier, St Louis

The off season is still early. Lets see how things pan out but to already claim we are worse now than we were last season is a joke. Some of you might have but I haven't forgotten how bad it was to watch this team crumple up like a cheap suit against the better teams the last month. Here is a bulletin, we weren't even in some of those games. The roster last season was not going to all of a sudden turn it on this year when the bell rang. Sure some of the young guys will get better but there were other issues they won't resolve. Better play up the middle and some toughness on the lower 6 for 2 not to mention a veteran presence on defense. Can we wait at least until the roster is set before we evaluate Drury's performance.

To be fair in those games we got manhandled we were missing like ALL of our even somewhat physical players lol.

Most believe Eichel is Drury's plan A--Plan B might be Danault.

Save the players/picks that can/would go in the Eichel trade. Spend less money on the contract 5.5-6 instead of 10 million a year.

Strome possible to Ottawa ( not getting a first this year ) maybe for a 2 and 3. Better deal would be Soucy and a 2 from Seattle.

Geo maybe to Edmonton--They didn't draft one of the kids last night when they had a chance. Hopefully today for a 2. Would really like a 2 and big K coming back.

Chytil stays another year plays with CK and Goodrow or Kravs.

Plan C--Really blow it up with youth--only way I'm even close to thinking about dealing Zibs is if Minn. is sending back a huge package of youth:

Rossi/Boldy
Kaprizov--a must
Kahkonen
Maybe Dumba to make the salaries come close.

AKA the Brassard trade with more power to it.

Problem with any Zibs trade ( not that I even believe what was on twitter last night ) is now were casing after not one but 2 centers.

Lol what? What is he better at? Strome has made a career off feasting on bread and PP minutes here. He’s a good offensive player, but he can’t do anything else. He’s also not a good enough offensive player to get by on not doing anything else.

Danault produces at a better rate in his minutes while doing all of the other things Strome can’t or refuses to do. There is quite literally no argument other than point totals that Strome is a better player, and without Panarin he wouldn’t even have that argument in his favor.
