Hoping Kylington falls, classic Saad/Rask type drop.

Tons of guys I like are still there. Fischer, Greenway, Roslovic, Beauvillier, Dermott, Novac, Sprong, Bittner, Juulsen, etc.

Lots of great picks available

I started to say...Did I see a high-ranked prospect from Raleigh, NC in next year's draft?

Yes you did. Son of Jeff Brown who played for us during the Greensboro years.

Speaking of homegrown players, does anyone know what the status is of the kid from Cary who accepted a scholarship to play at North Dakota? Surely his draft year has come and gone right? Heard he was a potential 2nd or 3rd rounder at one point.

I can't confirm, but I had heard that he is not going to North Dakota now. Charlie Pelnik (sp?) is his name. Big kid as he was 6'4" as a young kid, but didn't quite develop. I think he's in the BCHL or some league like that now. He's 20 now, so draft year has gone by.

EDIT: Yep, I googled him and found an article from UND's website that states he's not going to ND.

Interesting. Was hoping to see him get drafted when that time came. That said I think we're going to see more players from the state get into the pros in the next couple of years.

Now the day a guy from South Carolina makes it to the NHL is the day hell truly freezes over, lol.
