It’s always been Mac, Kuch and Helly down the stretch. Just curious in which order
Never understood why Mack gets charity votes its so weird
Lol our salt would be directed at last year, because this would confirm the award is more about reputation. Kucherov isn't really having a Hart season this year either. The team around him has been much better.Hahaha - okay yeah this one he probably should not win. That said - it would be really funny reading the salt from tampa fans if he did unjustifiably win this one.
Lol nobody wants the hart this year!Lol our salt would be directed at last year, because this would confirm the award is more about reputation. Kucherov isn't really having a Hart season this year either. The team around him has been much better.
Nathan MacKinnon didn't play the last three games of the regular season because of a minor injury. Had he, maybe the Colorado Avalanche center would have won the Art Ross Trophy as the NHL's scoring leader for the first time in his career.
Instead, it again went to Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov, who finished with 121 points to MacKinnon's 116 after topping MacKinnon 144-140 to win it last season.
"He would have won the scoring championship if it was a goal of his" former NHL coach Bruce Boudreau said.
That quote is actually hilarious because:LMAOOOOO this is embarassing.
The indirect Kuch disrespect never, ever stops.
Yeah that's extremely generous language by them. It's dumb to allow the optics of sitting out 3 pointless games to have any affect on the voteThat quote is actually hilarious because:
1. Adding 3 games for MacKinnon with his pacing still puts him below Kucherov's total.
2. Kucherov played 1 less game than MacKinnon.
When writers spew drivel like this, the voting makes a bit more sense.
I think Panarin was 39th on that listRemember before last season when The Hockey News ranked Kucherov as the 22nd best player in the league? Yeah the hockey media has no bias against him.
When MacKinnon wins a cup it’s because he’s a #Winner. He puts up his stats because it helps the team #Win. He could score even more points if he felt like it but he’s just too busy #Winning.Hart voters do love the guy.
Assuming he finishes top three this year, he'll have finishes of 1, 2, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 1, 2 or 3 this year.
That's a better Hart record than guys like Trottier, Bossy, Sakic, Yzerman, Forsberg.
Even Ovechkin only has five top three Hart placements.
I think last year several cases were so strong that it makes this year pale in comparison. Which feels like a goalie year.Lol nobody wants the hart this year!
Let's just toss it in the ocean
His own fan base says Makar has been better this year. I think his case isn't great. Kucherov's is better, but still not great, despite the Art Ross. He actually has had a lot of support this year.If they have to snub Kucherov then they gotta go the goalie hart route. MacKinnon again would just be a bad choice. He doesn’t lead the league in goals, he doesn’t compete for Selkes, there isn’t a really solid foundation to give him the award back to back years.
When MacKinnon wins a cup it’s because he’s a #Winner. He puts up his stats because it helps the team #Win. He could score even more points if he felt like it but he’s just too busy #Winning.
Kucherov wins two Cups but he’s just one piece of a great overall team. When he puts up stats it’s an indicator of greed and selfishness, a guy who puts his own accomplishments before the good of the team.
