Offer Jones + Hawks 2026 1st (Top 3 protected)

Nucks have wanted a top RD for a while who can move puck

If they don't want that deal well then, we simply aren't a match

Man what absolutely sucks the most about Jones is that NMC. I think he only accepts Dallas and other big US cities who are also contenders...

No thanks to EP40. He seems like he has a terrible attitude and is a part of the problem on that squad, not part of a solution. They were an exciting team on the upswing last year, they probably would’ve beaten Edmonton had they had healthy goaltending.

I haven’t followed too closely but that team as a whole outside of Q. Hughes seems like they’re less than the sum of their parts.

Pettersson seems too apathetic and I hated his post game interviews during the playoffs when he was questioned on why he was playing so poorly. Maybe he’s injured I don’t know but he had 24 points in his last 30 games to close out the 23/34 season, 6 points in 13 playoff games last year, and 28 in 34 this season.

Personally, something stinks with him and I’d rather pass.

For the cost I don’t have the slightest interest in EP.

Rather they take the changes on a big UFA that only costs money. If they all happen to get extended or have no interest in coming here then figure out a different plan.

Necas after his torrid start has slowed down

1 assist in last 8 games

If I was Canes I would be in no rush to talk contract. The 2nd half of this season + playoffs will decide his future in Carolina

I thought he got his contract. Was like 8 million a year with a deferred year iirc

He got 2-year deal that sees him as UFA in summer of 2026

So this summer he will be looking for big $ longterm extension

I am saying if I was Canes there would be no preliminary feeling out stuff (As we know goes on) and wait to see how 2nd half/playoffs go before deciding on his future

If he falters you look to trade him at draft

Guys like that just need to be ended. A nice flying elbow or a crosscheck up high. A big leaping charging penalty. Players who have no respect for their opposition deserve no respect in return.

There were teams that would’ve paid less or some would’ve even considered taking on Walman for free, I’m told, had Steve Yzerman put in the work and made the phone calls.

Walman has 5 goals and 20 assists thru 31 games for Sharks

"Yzerplan"

Good night for the tank. Ducks managed a W against Winnipeg, in Winnipeg no less. Sharks managed to beat Tampa, and even Buffalo got a losers point.

Maybe I'm missing something but how is Nashville slightly favored tonight for the road game against Vancouver? According to ESPN, that is.

Vancouver is in a tail spin. Maybe the dysfunction is skewing things

Maybe, but Nashville is 3-13-4 on the road and has lost 3 in a row.

Ah, just saw Vancouver played last night and went to a shootout at that. Both goalies played as well despite only having given up 2 and 1 goals each. I wonder if one of them got hurt and the other is going to have to play on back to back nights.

Edit: Demko pulled due to injury... that dude is so injury prone.

Vancouver almost blew a 3-1 lead last night. Ended up winning in the shootout. So yeah they are dysfunctional, in a tail spin, on a back to back, and will have to play lankinen twice in a row (sort of, he came in relief last night) or someone worse than him. He did well in the shootout though. Nashville sucks too though so I’m not sure id bet on them.

I am so deeply tired of people that want the Blackhawks to be good in what amounts to year two of the actual 'rebuild' part of the rebuild.

This isn't in response to anybody here so much as reddit, twitter, theathletic comments, etc

I just... do these people have no concept of recent history?

Can you imagine Tampa Bay Lightning fans drafting Stamkos and then complaining mid-way through his second year in the league over not winning enough games? They drafted 6th overall that year!

The had a bit of a fluke run to the ECF the year after that, then were trash again until 2014.

We are in year 2 of actually rebuilding this thing, the idea that we should be in anyway good is lunacy.
