Really didn't want the Oilers to advance but for the sake of the best quality hockey it's needed.

Vancouver will go as far as Miller takes them. Because Pettersson and Hughes sure as shit don’t look like playoff performers to me.

I don't buy the injury excuse. Vancouver went from 28.4 shots per game in regular season to 20.8. And the only reason that wasn't below 20 was a huge outlier game. I think they changed how they played in the playoffs to a conservative game, and it killed them. I don't buy Tochett as this coaching wizard at all.

Exactly

“They’re selecting their shots” just doesn’t work when you need to win games. If you spend your life waiting for the perfect opportunity you’ll waste your life.

I think Dallas beats Edmonton in 6. Too bad as I’d love to see McDavid win a Cup

Nucks 4 min PP = zero shots on goal and they gave up a breakaway that Silovs bailed them out on

13-2 shots in favor of Oilers after period 1

Just completely embarrassing effort from Nucks at home in a game 7!
The cup is always half full with you.

There were 2 teams on the ice and no team or player should feel embarrassed after a hard fought 7 game series.

Yep, it seems the offensive-minded teams (especially) often look for the perfect play. It drives me crazy to watch.... and then we'll see a player just throw the puck towards the blue paint and it results in a "greasy" goal. Last night all 3 Oilers goals were the result of shoot first, ask questions later. 2 came from the point and one from a bad angle that ended up on Ryan-Nugent's stick with a gaping net.

Shoot puck and good things often happen.

Crazy trade. The dominoes from this are crazy. Stamkos with no space until Tampa moves someone out. Does he just go to Nashville in free agency? Does Tampa move out Cernak or Cerelli?

Lightning cupboards are bare and they traded away more futures

When the bottom falls out for Lightning it's going to be like Hawks IMO

I get it though. Still have enough talent that a potential run is possible in next 2 years if unlikely
