It's so stupid what he can do with the puck at speed.

Kane has magic hands, but he does the opposite; he uses them to slow everything down and buy himself time and space.

McDavid just goes at warp speed and his hands somehow keep up.

And he has ungodly acceleration in EVERY direction.

I don't know what you're supposed to do to stop or contain that.


We never got to see Crosby vs Toews at their peak in the SCF. I really hope the NHL beats the odds and we get a McDavid vs Matthews playoff showdown during their heyday.

Mario had to battle all the clutching and grabbing to get his numbers. Remember he was ready to quit a few years before he did just because of that. Mario is better in my book but we all have our opinions and faves.
 
McDavid nearly had a catastrophic leg injury too and somehow he rehabbed like crazy and avoided surgery. It's incredible what he's still able to do.

I love his one-touch passes, but when he's off his mark, nothing kills the play quicker. Glad to see he's finding his groove and makng me look like a goof.

He never lost it. Kucherov is one of the best players in hockey.

It sounded to me like you were looking for a player worse than Kane without the puck and good luck trying to find one.

EDIT: maybe not. Forsling got in a rather dirty cross-check to his teeth.

Lightning fans are so insufferable, I am not sure if its because most people in Florida grew up without hockey but they're just insane sometimes with their takes.

He didn't have a great first round, IMO. Even TBL fans were speculating he was hurt/sick.

And I never said anything about play away from the puck, just his turnovers.
