Pardon if I am a little early on this but we're about a month out and nearly into the SCF...could we have this pinned?

Draft picks? What are those?

But really, we won't be picking until the early 60's. It's not a particularly great draft, but I still wouldn't mind having a pick between 10-20 if a couple of players are available.

I’m jealous of whoever gets Brady Martin. Now that’s the type of player you win with. He will be a team Canada staple for a long time to come

Absolutely love this player.

If he can get stronger so that he can play his game against the pros and not break like Gilbert Brule, he's Sam Bennett with more offensive talent. Who doesn't want that?

We still have 6 picks. Only missing a 1st and 4th round pick. Not as exciting having a higher pick but the scouting staff and staff responsible for the drafting has picks to work with this draft. Next year is gonna suck with only 3 picks though.

We need to get selling. There are a lot of passengers to dump.

Yeah Jarnkrok and Kampf could easily be moved for mid round picks next year. It'd be amazing if a gm paid a 2nd round pick for Jarnkrok hoping he can become that 20 goal scorer again but I doubt that. I'd expect 3rd round picks at best.

I’d add Robertson to that last as well. Could see someone paying a third for him.

The Toronto Maple Leafs hired Mark Leach as their new Director of Amateur Scouting, replacing Wes Clark who moved to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Leach had previously spent 11 seasons as an amateur scout with the Dallas Stars, working closely with Joe McDonnell and GM Jim Nil

You have the right targets to move, just I think your expectations on return might be too high..

There is actual talk Leafs might buyout Kampf and Jarnkrok if they can't dump them.

While I would love any draft pick in return simply to replace them on next years roster.

They have to hit on the 2nd and 3rd rounders over the next three drafts to fill out the roster. How they acquire the top end D and F is still a question. Trading Matthews and Nylander might be the solution, but when they do it?

As much as Matthews is criticized for his playoff offence if you trade a 69 goal Center you may not get another guy like him for decades.
