My entire game is based on gap control and I’ve taken like 20 trips in 5 games, and I wasn’t spamming it at all.

They actually patched/toned it down in the beta but apparently that didn't make it to the full release  Team behind this game is horribly run.

Is everyone else having the same problem with hair and beard color as I am? It seems that lighter shades like blonde and red are much darker and often look like black or dark brown. For example Mcdavid litterally has dark brown hair in this game. I think it might be a lighting issue or something. Do they have any plans to patch this?

Literally everybody was Indian in the beta so I’m guessing it’s a related problem.

Reading here it almost sounds like the final product is worse than the beta? Other than the odd glitch/hitch, I thought the beta was pretty smooth. Is the full game worse?

No, this seems overdramatic to me. I love the game mechanics, as well as franchise, and I managed to adapt to the tripping calls after a few games (took 10 in the first 2 periods of HUT alone lol), so in the last game it was 3. It could use some help but not much, and it makes it a little harder.

Wasn't there supposed to be a roster update today? Would be pretty shitty if we have to wait a couple weeks for Karlsson deal to be added into the game

I haven't played online since NHL 17 and tried a drop-in game, but was kicked due to poor team play with less than half of the 3rd period to go. I'm guessing for taking 5 penalties while trying to adjust to the fact that you can't pokecheck or stick lift without taking a penalty. Is that an automatic system or something?

The hair colors in create a player are so ****ed up, blonde hair looks dark brown for some reason. Also I spent a ton of time creating a team in expansion mode only to have the game crash right as I'm about to finish it, hope its not a regular issue since that's the only mode I play.

I'm a legend, played all the games until 15. Bought this one because I missed GM mode and was bored.

Right now I'm trying to trade Nathan "Hospital Bed" Horton

unrealistic game is unrealistic

I deleted my file, went into rosters and dropped Horton to FA

you wouldn't take a first round pick in order to absorb the Horton contract? well now you get nothing

7 Online games into HUT, and between me and my opponents, there have been 83 tripping penalties called.
So their solution to poke check spamming is to increase the penalties called by an extreme amount, meanwhile you can get away with stick lift spamming which is the same damn thing. lol.

Yeah the player reports on here are pretty damning, I think I'll be sticking to '18.

Played it a bit at my friends. The game play is meh. Very 2K feeling oddly. Some minor improvements, the graphics and player movement and motions seem really off and awkward for some weird reason but overall almost the same. I don’t find the penalties so bad but what I do find horrible is the positioning of the computer and now they always throw blind passes that get intercepted

So theres this (Finnish, I think?) guy who's been modding 2k11 for the wii and it should be released soon. The game looks pretty cool and it might be a good alternative to EA (assuming you've got a decent PC and Dolphin). I'm looking more forward to this than NHL 19.

The collision physics are much better at least, but they didn’t need to make every pokecheck a trip to show that off.

I think they tried to make it more realistic but in their attempt if you like to cycle the puck, actually pass, and work the puck around your at a huge disadvantage. People that just skate in and throw slapshots and wristers on net are more likely to score and win. DDA/ice tilt is extremely obvious.

This was my issue with the game the past few years most notably in Versus. However, I actually enjoyed the beta and found myself being able to generate offense as the skating and passing was way better than years past.

Have they changed anything from the beta?
