I love that they've toned down overalls but some of these stats are just brutal to me.. Jeff Carter at 90SKT, 90SHT, 91HND? Maybe skating and shot is close, but hands should be 87-88 IMO. 90SKT for Benn? More like 88. Gustav Nyquist is going to be way more OP than he should be.. Hossa at 86SKT, 85SHO, 85HND is criminal. Barrie at 88DEF is laughable. Meanwhile Brodie is only 86DEF..

Not complaining too much.. it's so much more realistic than last season. These ones stick out as the bad ones.

Also Helm > RNH makes no sense.

Yup, exactly. Also if Landeskog is an 88ovr how is Eberle an 85ovr and Hopkins an 84ovr? :dunno:

I think Karlsson is the best d-man in the NHL as well.

People always try to say he isn't used on the PK to backup their opinion of them not thinking he is the best d-mam in the nhl.... lol. someone pls :help:

He can be a little risky when leading the rush and jumping up but can save himself and get back with his incredible explosive speed. Also at the end of the year there, when all of Ottawa were making that run he really picked up his Defensive game and was solid.

Thank you for agreeing. :yo:

Not sure if I am going to buy NHL 16. This might be the first year I do not buy it. The 10 hr release will give me an idea if I want to get it or not.

Yeah... I think I'll just buy the legacy edition for HUT, LTL and GM, maybe I'll dip into EASHL this year. I'll wait until NHL 17 to get it on next(current)-gen.

Def gonna preorder legacy in the next day or two. I might grab a PS4-NHL16 bundle close to a holiday sale. My PS3 is almost 5 years old and might become a Netflix machine soon.
I'm not saying im never going to grab a PS4, just not now

So if you're looking at it that way, and since '16 on PS4 isn't much better. Do you want mud or dirt?

Just clarifying a few things that have confused me from some of these recent posts.. I pre-ordered NHL 16 from the XB1 store and already downloaded it. After that I got the 1 month EA access trial. Am I not able to play the game early because I downloaded the game already?

If I am able to play the game on the 10th does that include HUT?

Yep.

Also you should have bought EA Access first. It gives you 10% off the game. Deluxe was $80.99 for me instead of 89.99.

JaredCowen fan, so as long as I put all my undrafted prospects in the CHL i should be good. I see you were saying if there in any other league they can be signed as free agents. Kinda stupid but I dont want Austin Matthews getting signed by toronto during the 2015-2016 season

Matthews, Nylander and Marner(And Rielly, and Dermott, and Kapanen... and Brown, and Harrington, and Loov, and Johnson, and Valiev) would be a great core for Toronto to build around(irl).

3 on 3 OT, Shootouts, EASHL Drop-In, Team Practices, Goalie control tweaks, goalie interference tweaks, The United Center, Player Badges, RFA offers in pre-season have all been added and will be in place tomorrow (and more, click the link for the full list).

They're still far from perfect but you have to give the EA team credit this year for actually responding to the community and making substantial improvements this year. The Beta process seems to have worked.

I do give a lot of credit to the EA team for bringing back the features they removed then marketed them as the highlights for their new release. No, but really, this should be a good year for NHL.

On a side note: Can they please fire the single scout they use for player ratings? Mike Hoffman with an 83 skating rating vs. Jared Cowen with an 83 (lol)...or Bobby Ryan with an 87. Good lord. I would say Hoffman is in the top 3 skaters in the league.

EASHL drop-ins and online shootouts are big adds for me. I know there's the usual backlash of "They never should've taken it out in the first place" but I'm looking forward to the release on Tuesday.

Johnny makes entertaining videos and that is all he needs to do but any time I watch a video where he tries to talk about current NHL involving players, trades, signings, and anything else really he comes off as a complete idiot. Worse then the average HF poster easily.

EDIT: Didn't realize that talk was a page back so this sounds completely random to anyone who didn't read that.

From my understanding though the Legacy version is suppose to have support and updated rosters for the next couple years.

If someone waits to pick it up then it actually is the best value NHL game yet.

What the hell is this badge ****... If there was at least a purpose to it I could understand, if you're going to copy CoD, might as well be clever in doing so. They could have made it that you start with really ****** equipment that has a factor (i.e sticks that break easily or give bad accuracy, bad skates, etc.)

I laughed soooooooooooooooo hard :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

I can finally get to 10th prestige again.

EASHL Player Badges – Introducing EA SPORTS™ Hockey League pro leveling. Play EASHL Seasons, Playoff games, or Drop-in games and earn Experience Points that unlocks badges for different stat categories and milestones. Earn enough EXP and you will level up your Pro.

Once at Level 50, you will earn a Prestige badge and start at Level 1 again to begin the pursuit of your next badge. This is the ultimate display of your skills. Player levels will be prominently presented for other users to see in the Leaderboards, Dressing Room, and Side Select, so level up and brag to your friends.

If I buy this on Amazon can I play early? Or do I need to buy it through the PS4 store?

I would be stoked if 1st over all picks didn't suck ass for 3 years in Be a GM.

Not once since maybe Lindros has a 1st overall not played the next season but in the game they are 64 overall and ****. 1st overall picks need to be atleast 75 and at most 81. They shouldn't be an instant game changer but they should be able to play on a team that sucks for sure.

Agreed. He's gotten really bad with that too. I'm picturing him making videos on NHL2055 and being like Don Cherry
